(08 juil. 2005)

And froggie`s attempt of a translation : (fine to me!)

Carl Barât and Pete Doherty at work... separately.
When you finally manage to get him on the phone, Carl Barât apologizes for being late for the interview and justifies himself : he was on the phone with Pete Doherty. The ex-Libertines explains he is now on good terms with Babyshambles' singer, and that they often give each other news.
And here are the news form Carl Barât : after having officially splitted the Libertines last December, then build a "fake super-group" with amongst others Tim Burgess from Charlatans and Martin Duffy from Primal Scream ("juste a joke for Christmas, nothing more") he just left Rough Trade for Vertigo, for which his first album should be released in early 2006. "I couldn't work for the same label than Pete anymore. It was too disturbing for me".
Yet Barât doesn't consider a really solo career. "I'm working with the Libertines' ex-drummer and I'm looking for other musicians. It will be a band, I'm trying to find a name for it. It's not easy, I feel like searching a name for a baby". The "baby" is still an embryo, but Barât just went into the recording studio in London, with a few new songs. "I find it difficult to write on my own. I'm used to have a co-writer to force me to work and tell me if it's good or bad".
As for Doherty, he has finished the recording of Babyshambles' album, produced by ex-Clash Mick Jones. It will be released in France on October the 10th. (08/07/2005)
