To remove the gauges, first take off the radio / heater metal plate. Hex Nuts are behind the radio knobs and phillips screws on top.

Then remove the plastic center dash cover, more phillips screws on top of it.

Then you can remove the gauges, all 3 together in 1 case, hex screws on the sides.
There is a wiring harness plug behind the gauges that I think will pull out with the gauges for access.

After it is out each gauge can be removed and replaced.

But again, the Alt gauge moves little to none so you might not see a difference.
