Response to High Torque Starter

Brent. I think it was a year ago we beat this thing to death. It appears a few of the purists were more interested in originallity than solve the problem. That's OK, I'd rather drive the car trouble free. I had such heating problems I rarely drove the car.

I did 3 things and the 429 starts every time no matter how far I drive the car or how hot it gets, without hesitation. I replaced the hooker headers with stock exhaust manifolds, installed a Hi-torque starter and put an aluminum wrap around the starter from Summit. Haven't had ONE single prob in 6 years. The starter I bought was from a small one man starter company from Lake Havasue AZ. It's been so long ago I don't think I have the information on the supplier. I put about 1500 miles a year on the car...If all else is good, this will do the trick. I'm not sure the mfg makes a big difference but will see if I can find the info...
