I've used Metro mix and was happy with it. Even better mixing your own that way you can tint different slop color parts different tints like they would have been originally

OR I guess you could get a can from two different sources. Remember the paint was put on thick (dipped) so runs are ok

I was refering to painting my hood hinges hood latch and sock caps.Will slop gray mimmic the phosphate coatings? the site talks about dioxy does it and a paint sold by eastwood but doesnt say which paint it is.... thanks Danny

No, slop gray is a combination of different colors. My slop gray is actually slop green. I have not found a paint to duplicate phosphate and oil. I have tried many of the coatings that say they duplicate the coating. I have a set up to do this but will be back in operation in June.

I used Eastwoods Zinc Phosphate paint and liked it very much on my hood hinges.
