...what is the highest seen or verified by the Marti Report...the highest I`ve seen on Ebay was around $5450...I`d like to know where mine stands...my car is loaded...429CJ J code.
Window Sticker is the retail version of the Invoice!

Except they only have the retail prices.
They are called window stickers as the are glued to the inside of one of the windows, usually the drivers side rear window if space allows, otherwise it will be the driver side front window.
BTW
A loaded 429CJ Cougar XR7 listed at over 6200.00 - the factory sunroof was the most expensive option.
There are two columns on the window sticker. The MSRP on mine was $5438.00 but the total on the far right was $4418.23. My car was pretty loaded. 429cj=436.00, Mach One Sports Interior Group=130.00, 4 speed=216.00, Trac Loc=45.00, F60x15 Wide Ovals=$18.00, Convnience Group=51.00, P/S=110.00, tilt=45.00, fold down=$97.00, Disc Brakes=$70.00, A/C=407.00, am/fm=214.00, Console=60.00, Tinted Glass=40.00, Power Windows=$122.00 and Intrument Group=54.00. Those are all MSRP. By contrast my 71 M Code MSRP was 5060.00 and has all of those same options as well as rear defrost.
Just to put this thread in perspective a heavily loaded 70 Cougar was pricey

This car has virtually all options except ram-air, and 15 inch wheels and tires, and is had a 25.00 credit for the seat back releases if you would throw on special order paint it would have stickered between 6400.00 - and 6500.00.
My 71 Mustang 429cj (not talking Cougars as they were higher priced to begin with for those that responded) Window Sticker is $5720 on my Marti Report...$3268 Base Price...Options were 429CJ-R $436.00 Body Side Tape stripes $26.00 Mach 1 Sports Interior Group $130.00 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic $238.00 Traction-Lok Differential $48.00 F60X15 Wide Oval Tires $18.00 Convenience Group $51.00 Power Steering $115.00 Tilt Steering Wheel $45.00 Rim Blow Deluxe Steering Wheel $39.00 Sport Deck Rear Seat $97.00 Power Front Disc Brakes $70.00 Rear Deck Spoiler $32.00 Air Conditioner-Selectaire $412.00 Stereosonic Tape System $134.00 AM Radio $66.00 Console $60.00 Intermittent Windshield Wipers $26.00 Deluxe Seat Belt/Warning Light $17.00 Tinted Glass-Complete $40.00 Power Side Windows $127.00 Magnum 500 Chrome Wheels $120.00 Instrumentation Group $54 Transportation Charges $51.00...I was curious because I`ve not seen a documented Window Sticker higher...my Marti Report also says this is the only car ordered with all these exact options and the last line says 1F05J18XXXX is that Mustang

The difference must be like some said below...the transportation charges...Mine has $2401 in options and yours $2322...they are both loaded to the gills..
No actual window sticker as the car was ordered from the dealership and took about 6 weeks for delivery...But I do have the original bill of sale and dealership paperwork. Also the price is on the original ownership title.
According to the paper work the price did include all taxes and fees. Also there is a shipping fee for the magnum 500's because the car came with the hubcaps and the magnums did not arrive until about 6 weeks later..Now here is a kicker..My Pops was a lead foot and back in the day there was no radar detectors (or highway patrol with radar I believe) and according to the paper work there is a $135.00 fee for the factory to install a CB radio with fixed antenna. The antenna is on the roof..and yes people always ask me what the thing on the roof is for..The radio unit was installed just below and slightly left of the glove box..You can see the antenna dome on the megasite in gallery 1 5th set of pictures down. The first pic has the best view.
To answer the question of "Why would your dad have hole drilled in the roof for a CB antenna instead of a magnetic one" The answer is...I have no idea I was only 11 years old. But he once told me it was because the magnetic ones would scratch the paint if he took it on and off plus he didn't want a wire showing.
To get the best reception in all directions the roof is the largest reflector / ground plane for the antenna to reference. You want it as high and unblocked as possible to maximize reception and transmission of the radio signal....the same reason they put antennas on the top of water towers and buildings...my 2 cents

It's interesting to see the great variation in the amount of gasoline provided with each car. I see some invoices showing as little as 3 gallons while mine was shipped with 12 US Gallons at $4.91. BTW my SCJ came in at an MSRP of $5,250 and selling price at $4,533.11
