Mach 1 Grille Repair

As many of you already know, the grille often gets in the way when you lead across the front of the engine bay - even when you are careful. The attachment screws have broken through both of the center mounting locations on my grill. They have broken out the bottom of the cavity where the screw goes through. Has anyone had any success in repairing similar broken areas of their grille? How did you do it, what products worked for you? I would much rather save an original grille that install a repop. Any experience would help. Thanks.

Jim

They repaired a 1971 Cuda plastic grill using "plastic bumper repair adhesive", clamps and sandpaper.

you may want to check the website

you might also request them to post the video of this repair as it looks like one that would be helpful to alot of people.

good luck!
todd

I did see this episode after I posted the message. They did a flat area on a 'Cuda grille using the mythical adhesive. The area I need to repair is at the base of one of the center attaching points where there is a cup like an egg carton. I was thinking that I might be able to make a mold and maybe epoxy a washer into the base of the cup to reinforce the attaching point.
