Interesting part label for a 70 part.

As always it would be a good idea for a possible buyer to ask questions.

Thanks for sharing - person has a small bunch of interesting items

It will be interesting in about 2 weeks to look at the sellers feedback?

(It was funny how the non-period correct part number sticker got placed right over the molded engineering number.)

being seller gave some added data as to what is under the sticker, I asked

Hello, Being you have seen under the sticker, "Stamped underneath sticker 1OA682-AA" what is the first part of the plastic stamped part number?

Seller responded with "I can't read, it seems it has been rubbed off?"

"Seller responded with "I can't read, it seems it has been rubbed off?" "

Ouch - how does a NOS part get to the point of rubbing only the engineering number off it??? especially located on the inside sad.gif

Betting it was a D4 one - hope the new owner measures the height.

Going to be an expensive lesson

Yes we have....

August 5 2009, 8:45 PM

At $400+ this has to be a very expensive lesson. I almost pulled the series 27 battery shield from my bad boy and put it out there. My luck I'd get an offer for $50 and that would be it...

Rich - Did the replacment OEM parts sold through Ford parts in 1970, or 68-71 have FOMOCO stickers and/or boxes? I though the parts identifier during that time period was AUTOLITE, and then MOTORCRAFT after that? I have seen FOMOCO on early to mid 60's replacement parts and those original stickers and/or boxes @ 40+ years old are yellowed from age.

They had stickers or boxes. The stickers from the period were white with the Ford oval logo on them....as far as i can remember. Think there are some shown on the Megasite, on some parts?

Robert....Where's the snake?

That sticker on the D1ZZ looks right for that era, but I do not see "FoMoCo" on it. I believe that a reproduction "earlier era" FoMoCo sticker has been attached to this eBay battery shield and a D0 number typed on this repro. sticker. The sticker looks too new, and the FoMoCo logo doesn't match the era.

To many, it would appear to be right because it has a Ford parts sticker, but these stickers are reproduced now, especially the earlier stuff.

The 725 Super Snake.............

August 10 2009, 7:16 PM

I have had this car for a few months, but never seem to have time to drive it..!?!?!? I finally got to the suggested break-in of 300 miles. I think it now has 311 miles. I have added a full mandrel bent 3" exhaust from the Shelby Performance catalog and a set of Ford Racing ceramic coated shorty headers. It is hard to believe that these cars make 725h.p. with their original Ford assy. line 2.5" exhaust system with Shelby added Borla 2.5" cat back.
I don't remember what (if any) pictures that I have previously linked.

A friend of mine at a local Ford dealership wanted to see it.......
