Great review of your Reversa Chrono.
Beautiful watch and no doubt a technical marvel to swiss watch making from JLC.
However, I like to point out the bigger does not mean we are going backwards.
First of all I like bigger watches. I like anything Thats over 40mm. Anything smaller than that I don't have a taste in it at all.
There will be a point in time when the it balances out and the watch no longer gets bigger. I think the biggest it will get is proably 49mm. But I think it will stay around 45mm.
With bigger the case they can do a lot more with bigger cases. With the master compressor both HOmetime and Dualmatic has their autotractor movements. Autotractor a movement, which took them 8 years to build to build on something thats already very good.
Just because they have discontinued one exsisting caliber it doesn't mean the technology they have created has gone to waste.
They only used that technology to make a better movement and with added features such as autotractor movment. The advances and the merges of other new technology makes it a new caliber but it still retains the old caliber in them because it is part of the new calibers.
With that said, I am very happy with the new compressor dualmatic. It is absolutely beautiful. The more you wear it the better it looks.
I know some people don't like change and don't accept it as easily. This is a change with advancements and going to the right direction.
You mentioned JLC didn't market your particular watch very well. I don't believe they market any watch very well. If there is markting in their watch at all. Yeah some with their Amovx but other than that nothing.
Maybe they believe quality speaks for itself and want to make their watches exclusive and so they don't care much about markting. Maybe don't want to be like rolex. Who knows.
