I am looking for a Ms. Seri Davis. I heard she is very involved with a PNG cultural group in Cairns. I am hoping she would be able to help me out with info on how she got started with group and also funding info.

If not sure ring one of the committee members and they'll put you onto the right person.

That grant is for Ethnic Communities to help them to put on cultural shows etc. It might be an idea to contact your nearest Migrant Resource Center (and chat to Community Laison Officer) if you do that this person will advise you and arrange for you to meet an officer from Australian Council for The Arts to have a discussion with and put your ideas forward before the Advertisement goes in the paper for the grant.

Hey yeah! I'm a friend of Seri Davis and family, they all live in Cairns. if you want to contact them, call any cairns PNG relative you've got. Believe me, the Davis family are well known in cairns for there great hospitality and socialism with the png community and ofcourse their commitment for teaching our younger generation about our cultural songs, dances and history whether your PNG or not!
