With a $500 million donation from Australia every year to PNG since 1975, that equals $175 billion in the past 35 years.

Thanks to Australia, but gimme, gimme more. Sounds familiar?

These blood sucking pollies, particularly the "father" of the nation, do not care about their people. I know I lived in PNG for 10 years.

Now we have Cholera in PNG, and we are expected to assist them?

No hospitals, no this, no that.

Well, make sure our donations are directed to improve health and education, instead of lining the pockets of the pollies in PNG.

Well the aussies do have a point, there has been a lot of money go to PNG?

I do agree with the last post, where has all that money gone? It is up to PNG nation to "Sue" the gov for misappropriating the "Ordinary" people's money.
This I got from the "Horse's) mouth. Australian gov can not stop aid to PNG. They tried putting the money into project after 2000, but that did not work.Why? because still the money was pocketed under the so called named projects.

PNG nation has to unite to fight for this.

They use to give it directly to the PNG government. Most of the money got misappropriated so the Australian government decided to make it tied aid. This is not making much difference to the lives of ordinary people because much of the money ends up with the Australian Consultants who are paid more than A$11000 a fortnight, hence the phrase "boomarang aid."

someone has to be paid to overseer certain projects, I believe, but where did the bulk of the money go? the amount you mentioned was on wages that is included in the amount allocated to certain areas. My question is how many of the so called ear marked money for projects for the villages are completed?

Isnt it obvious Australia has tried and tried and tried to help with AID for PNG
