Sheryle, can you believe that I almost forgot to post a thread on this? LOL! I was reading the other replies and then I read this and I thought "oh, yeah!!"
Anyway, first I'll tell you what I did and how I did it. I'm not a first time hennaer, but I'd never done it myself, nor have I used anything other than just pure henna (i.e. never any store-bought hennas). I crumbled a bit of the Lush bar into some boiling water and ooh it smelled FABULOUS! Then I took it into my room and laid newspapers all over the floor and Mum helped me put it on.
By the way, it says it really stains but it doesn't actually! It washes right out. Anyway, I put on a shower cap, a cloth cap, and a towel around my shoulders. This was at around 9 PM, I slept at 11 PM and woke up at 7:40 AM. So I washed it out then, and it had been in for 10:40 hours.
Of course, the worst part about it was the wash-out. I'd forgotten how much I hate that part. It took about 20 minutes to wash out! I used a little bit of some very mild + conditioning shampoo to get it all out. Then I combed my hair after getting out of the shower. I could just feel how strong my hair was and it was
so glossy! Then I put some shea butter leave in on my length and ends and waited for it to dry.
Then I took pics

.
These aren't the best of pics... in the first one, you can really see the reddish-light brown tones that were in my hair which I really hated. The bump is from just taking it out of a bun. In the second one my hair looks a lot thinner than usual... ::shrugs::... not quite sure why. It's not the best pic but you can see how well the henna worked on my hair! It's SO much darker, VERY well conditioned and you know what? I don't even feel like I need a trim anymore! Yay!!

Also, my Mum said, "Hey, Leia, your bun isn't red in the sunlight anymore! It's brown! Cool!"
And without further ado...

And the after pic:
Overall, I loved this henna, and am definitely planning to use it again.

Love,
