| I just had an interesting thought which came about during my recent experimenting with Aubrey Organics products. My hair usually "lays nicer" on hot, dry days. If there is a lot of humidity, I get more poof and frizz. I think a lot of wavies/curlies are this way too. I can get my hair to lay nice if I use a blowdryer, or flatiron, or any type of heat. But it also makes my hair dry.
I found it intersting that with the Aubrey products, I LOVE the way my hair was shiny and the way my hair behaved (wave-wise). But it was much dryer feeling than I like. When I use the Zerran products, my hair is very soft and supple and feels much healthier and less dry, yet I get more poof, less defined waves.
I think the trick here is finding the right balance in moisture. A product that leaves hair too dry is not good, but too moist can make control problems. That might explain why some of us do better with some products than others -- maybe our hair moisture-needs are different, and finding just the right combination is the trick.
Just food for thought. . . .
