my point is that "less" moisture makes for better curls! Too much moisture gives poof. The CG method is all about "lots of moisture" i.e., no poo if you can handle that! What I was trying to point out was that there seems to be a perfect "balance point" of too much moisture vs. too little moisture. Too much = frizz/poof and too little = dryness. I'm finding with Aubrey (no SLS, etc.) it was too dry but I liked my waves better than with too much. But I don't want to dry my hair out either! It's finding that perfect balance that is tough and i'm sure everyone's hair is different in that regard, and why some products were better for some than for others.
