I think to get a hold of liquid glycerin you'd have to ask a pharmacist...or look into a soapmaking book for sources. I'm not sure about the panthenol.
Have you tried diluting the formula with something else to make it smell less? I use the AO Sea Buckthorn spray and it REEKS. I'd quit using it if it didn't do such nice things for my hair.
After all that, I'm tempted to try out the California Baby spray that Mermayd suggested!
