Response to Thank you

Hi Michelle,

Deep conditioning is a conditioning treatment you leave on your hair longer than normal. There are deep conditioning treatments listed in the recipe section of the Library. Here's the link:

Hot water can also dry your hair and scalp out. Hot water will also pick up more mineral residue from your water pipes and can actually end up leaving that residue in your hair. I love a good hot shower myself, but I've learned to put my hair in a shower cap on those days, and I've slowly trained myself to do just warm water on days I actually wash my hair.

And if I have a question about an ingredient, I run it through the Google search engine and try to read at least a few entries about it. If you want to determine if an ingredient is 'bad' for your hair, you need to have an alternative product that does not contain those ingredients so that when you use it, you have a basis of comparison. Many of us have found that we need to use a shampoo for at least three washes to gauge the full effect.

You can probably look at other people's hair types that are similar to yours for ideas about where to start. Most of our routines are in our signatures!
