I too have a very deep attachment to my hair, it's a beautiful "flower" I've hand grown and nurtured and I'd hate to see it go.
All my dedicated hair care and patience is in every little strand to the end, and it's like a little part of me that I can't just whack off.
It looks good on me, and I have a hair type that lets me wear it down even at classic (it's been a while), but I am in the same boat and I know for sure a lot of others are.
