I have been washing my face with oil for a long while- only I do find that sometimes it needs a break and I go back to a cleanser. Mind you, it could be that I get lazy and rush the process, therefore the results are not as good? Anyway oil for cleansing is great and removes eye makeup so easily too!
But purely coconut oil and water for cleansing hair??? I have to say this sounds unlikely. I have tried mixing a teaspoon of coconut oil into a teaspoon or so of shampoo and shampooing as usual (did this over a year ago) I found the results fine.
The article doesn't talk about measurements but what it suggests sounds like a lot of oil and I don't see that water alone- especially the cold water step right after applying the coconut oil to the length is going to remove the excess oil.
Would be an interesting experiment. But when I have done pre wash oil treatments with coconut oil I have found I needed to do a good shampoo wash (or even two ) to eliminate that greasy loo and even then sometimes miss a spot or two!
If you are brave enough to give it ago it would be I am sure some of us Loomies would be keen to hear how it goes! Mind you if it doesn't work you could just shampoo it again- although I notice you are CO.......
Keep us posted.
