Apparently more mature ladies are often told this when it comes to long hair. I'm assuming people where I live are too polite to say it to my face, but it got me thinking.
My long hair makes me feel happy ... it makes me feel feminine ... it makes me unique ... it gives me entry into the world of long hairs (ever smiled at a complete stranger because you both have long hair and you know you both belong to the exclusive club?) ... it gives me a range of different looks ... and it pleases my husband. So how can it be said that "it does nothing for me"?
What does your long hair do for you? (Not just mature members need reply!)

'Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfailing beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.' 1 Peter 3:3-4
