I am kind of curious if coconut oil evaporates? I am on my first jar and I really love it but it sure seems it is going awfully fast.
I can't remember exactly when I bought it, late last summer or sometime in the fall I guess, I know it was warm out because it melted and the first thing I did was spill 1/3 of it all over me. Still, after the spill, since then I've only used a tiny bit a day and now I'm down to the last 3rd. Does the hot and cold temp changes somehow make it go faster? Should I keep it in the icebox? Not too important, when it's gone it's gone and just I'll buy more.
I was wondering also if anyone ever added any other oils to the coconut oil? It's definitely the best oil I've used for my hair but I'd like to have it more scented and I have another kind of oil that smells heavenly but doesn't really do anything for my hair, I think it's almond oil and it has essential oils in it.
I don't want to mix it in if it's going to ruin my coconut oil though. Would it be better to just add some essential oils myself?
