Sorry, but I couldn't contain myself. I measured this morning and I have reached my goal of 45 inches length. It is my longest ever, so I am rather excited about it. I have set a new goal of 48 inches & hopefully I will reach it by the first of next year.

mines at 14 inches now just below my shoulders now the way to armpit length, i can also pull my hair round and wear it on one shoulder now.
My fringe is at 7.5 inches, next month it will be mouth length and completley tuckable behind my ears so i am heading into the good zone anytime now. By Christmas i will be very happy as my length should be apl and my fringe should be neck length i cant wait
It's grown 2 inches since I cut it in May. I wish it would grow that fast all the time. In the winter it will slow down, at least it did last year so I assume that is normal for it. I've started CWC again even though it's short. I think that will help keep the ends healthy.

since I first joined up here and measured it in late June... that surprised me as my hair always seems to grow SOO slowly.. and not the 1/2" per month, but I think I'm going to switch to measuring every second or 3rd month to focus on the health of the hair and is fullness since normally when I grow it out I wind up with very thin hair just past this length... its still thin looking in a bun except a sock bun, but... that will change as I can do more twists and layers into a style too..

And this is after the trim that I had my husband do last night! I can tell my hair has been growing quickly lately but wow, I didn't expect to see any growth from last month since I had the trim last night. I must have grown about an inch and a half in the last month. WOW! Of course after my trim last night (hubby cut off about 1"), that is still a net gain of a half inch--which is pretty good I think.
My hair has been shedding a ton lately too. I'm assuming faster growth and more shedding is related?

The nice thing about using centimetres as well as inches for measuring is that you can get from one nice number (80 cm) to the next (35 in) to the next (90 cm) and so on. Anyone know any other units we could use for measuring?

Am at 15 inches today, which is nigh short of miraculous given how much I've had trimmed this past month in an effort to get it to one length. It's almost there, and I am happily surprised at how much better it looks!
Also been using jojoba oil, and I can see why everyone raves about it! Recently went back to being a blondie, and find myself in need once again of a poo and conditioner that like my hair.
Happy August, everyone!
1aFi . . . presently have a perm and my hair is layered. Growing out bangs as well.

Ultimate Goal: As long as it will go!
Present routine: Shampoo and conditioning every day with Redken All Soft. For a leave-in conditioner I'll either use more of the All Soft or a teaspoon of reconstructor. Not using any heated styling tools, last trim was early March. Oiling with EVOO a couple times a month, wanting to experiment with different oils.
CWC method, with pre-wash vinegar rinses. Wash everyother day, working on going longer!

~Just cut 7 inches off of hair, bangs are now the same length as the rest of my hair and no more layers now!!! Growing out perm almost done, about four inches left! It has been one year since I started growing out my bad perm, at the time I did the perm my hair was about 30 inches:(
otherwise known as 96 cm. And I've decided to be bold and set my goal length at 40". I've never had the urge to grow longer than 35", but now with the aloe vera, my hair feels so great at longer lengths, I might just give this a try and see where it takes me.
Still an inch short of my length before my last trim (sigh) back in May. Hopefully I'll get some good summer growth here, coming up. Haven't had that yet. But my hair and ends have been happy, so it's all good.mermayd

or 31.5". That's if my son measured correctly. DH's measurement was different but since his numbers indicate no real growth and we both think my hair is looking a lot longer I'm going with son's numbers. Next month will probably show who was right.

good for you! 32" on me is around waist I think. Hips is maybe 34? and TB is another 2" beyond that. I can't wait until it's that long.....8" to waist for me! 10 months OY.......IF I continue to get 1" a month. I've pretty much kept that up; considering trims and stuff and starting from above my shoulders in Oct./Nov. last year, I've grown about 8 inches since then.....I should be to bsl by the end of Sept. and waist by May, allowing for a few little microtrims in there. Hopefully anyway....

is the length of the longest layer of my hair. The bulk of my hair falls more between 24.5 and 25. But still, that means an inch of growth over the past month. Lately, I've been gaining just 1/2" per month, so this was a pleasant surprise.. Yay!

Hello everyone! I am at 33.5". I cannot remember what i was at last month, but I am pretty sure I have had over 1/2 inch of growth. My hair has just reached hip length, YAY! I was considering a trim soon, but I have decided to delay it for a few more weeks as I am liking it at this length.
After a traumatic cut of split ends I am growing once again. 1/2 inch for me!

Can I count my first month measuring as a "measure in?" I already can't wait until next month's measure in to see how much my hair grows. I've never done it, so I don't have any idea of my growth rate. Yeah, this is fun!

My Regimen: I wash and condition every other day, leaving the conditioner in for 10-15 minutes (the last thing I do is rinse it out) and deep conditioning on the weekends. I find that if I blow-dry my hair straight, it's less susceptible to tangling and breaking throughout the day. Trimming would be nice every 3 months or so, but I've had so much trouble with stylists cutting off more than I asked that I've gone a year now with no trim. (Ack!)
I don't do a lot of styling because I hate my fly-aways and I hate styling products even more. They dry out my hair! (After reading the boards, though, I may start using Aloe Vera gel as a styling product/leave-in conditioner. It's worth a try.
