Recipes for hair goo

I've recently discovered the joy of food stuff in my hair care rountine.  I was wondering if anyone had any good recipes they could share with me. I've had a look through the library and have tried a couple from there.

Wash twice a week with Lush shampoo bars and whatever conditioner I have as I'm using up the dregs in my bathroom using the CWC method. ACV rinse after every wash.

Next step is oil and shampoo til the shampoo is gone and then I'm gonna try water only.

I only comb my hair with a wooden comb or bristle brush
Trying to grow out my hair back to it's natural colour.

What I have tried

July 23 2008, 12:58 PM

was a pureed avocado, egg yolk, and honey mixed together( I heated the honey a littte). I was nice but a little hard to rinse out. Now what I do once a week is I take a mixture of oils(avocado, grape seed, jojoba)and heat them up. Then add egg yolk and a little organic conditioner and slop it on my head, wrap it up and sleep with it. Rinse out and there you have it.

Kitchen ingredients in your hair ~ some ideas...

I haven't got any concrete recipes for you because I always muck about with quantities and ingredients, but here are some ideas to get your started:

- yogurt (plain / with honey / with eggs)
- eggs
- oils (almond / olive / coconut) - they make a great addition to any recipe
- honey
- banana
- brown sugar + conditioner/yogurt for an exfoliating scalp scrub
- coffee + conditioner + a bit of boiling water

Have fun!
