Wow

I love that! I've always had a tough time with crown braids though. It never ends up working out right and I always give up.

-------------July 2008---------------------------June 2009----------

Type: 1c/N-C/ii
Growth: ~10"/31"/40"

Dark brown, mostly straight with a few waves on the odd day, thick strands and thick volume. Occasional curls at ends caused from a persistent, long ago perm. One-length with bangs.

Started from ear length in November 2004. Went through a few cuts and layered styles while growing out. Found TLHL at 31" in May 2009. Eventual goal is mid-thigh, hopefully in two years.

Thank you very much for your kind words! Ya know, I dyed my hair dark about a month ago, it was a golden blonde that did not look to good with my skin tone. Now it has faded out to a lighter brunette, with blonde highlights, and I really love it! I feel much more natural looking and let me tell you, it is wonderful not seeing those roots like I used too! My new hair growth is blending well! Thank you again, and I wanted to tell you how beautiful your hair is!!!

That's cool! I probably wouldn't wear it except for the Christmas holidays, but I think that is perfect for those younger (or at least younger at heart) than I.

Photobucket Christmas 08 April 09 2 April 09
loom size
Close up of my gray hair.

My new mantra: 2009 for hair that's divine!

Oil on ends just before combing to help with snarls, 2x a day.

Shampoo every 5 days
Experimenting with ACV, coconut oil, and honey.

Started measuring August 06, at 36.5 inches
1cCii ~ Natural Silver

I am 53 year old and I've been married for 34 years!!

July 1st 07 - Reached 40 inches
July 14 07 - Cut back to 36.5
August 3rd 08 - Reached 40 inches again.
January 1 09 Reached 43 and classic achieved! Cut for a better hemline.
April thru June 40 still. sigh...

36.5/40/Classic

Faithful to barbers - they actually trim 1/8th of an inch!!

Really cute!

July 13 2009, 10:31 AM

I liked that a lot! The only problem with my hair would be those little charms getting tangled and caught in my curls making it difficult to do the braid and to take it down.

I could do it with plain ribbon though.

Thanks for sharing!
