What causes scalp pimples?

They just wont go away! And with my fine hair, you can see them very easily through my hair. I use a SLS free shampoo and my conditioner NEVER goes up beyond my ears. I'm sooooooooo tired of this.

Everyday I keep looking in my mail box for my MM products...

Are having hormone-type issues? It could be from that. It may help to use some clay - I know you can order cosmetic clay from Mountain Rose Herbs. You might want to do a scalp mask, similar to how you would do a facial mask. That might help calm your skin and absorb any excess oil you are producing. HTH!

It could be hormone related, however, I've had them as long

as I can remember, and since I rarely get them on my face (I have to count my blessings) I dont think that thats the reason. However, I am stressed lately because of Ralph, work and money, so that could easily be a trigger too.

All I can think of is because my hair gets oily after 24 hours, those creepy little bacteria THRIVE on this. The only thing I can think of is washing daily. One website recommened a anti dandruff shampoo so it will kill them, but I"m so nervous doing that. I got my boyfriend to start using Nizoral shampoo for his insane dandruff and it worked like a charm (before, NOTHING worked).

A clay mask might do the trick. This is why I'm eagerly waiting for my morrocco method shampoos because I get a sample of the zen detox which is eactly that; a scalp detox mask.

Thanks for understanding ladies.

hugs

You might try a product with salicylic acid...

Some natural dandruff shampoos use this as an ingredient. Sometimes it's as simple as bacteria build up... as to why that happens more often than not to some, I don't know!

My husband gets them

November 4 2009, 10:22 PM

when he's under stress. He was told to use a shampoo used on horses but he's never been able to remember the name of it. He is better since we all switched to natural products though. He has thick hair and finds it embarassing at times.

After joining the loom and using more natural products and avoiding anything with parabens in it they went away. So for me I think it was an alergic reaction.

I always thought it was...

November 5 2009, 3:29 PM

...the product I was using. If I was having problems, then I would rotate to another shampoo or conditioner. Finally, and heaven only knows how many products I tried, I don't have those dasterly bumps!

Funny thing is I have been using natural shampoos (mostly) for years and years and completely since I phased into the Loom-Life. Yet just last month I tried my daughter's shampoo (because she was having awesome results) and I have had no problems yet whatsoever. I sort of expected it.

She uses Herbal Essence Hydalicious in the orange swirl... I'm using it too and love it!

I still keep to my natural conditoners... Pure Life Soap Co Lavender or Hugo French Lavender, because both of these do not cause the bumps. I believe they even nourish my scalp.

I have to be so careful with my scalp because it is sensitive.

Hope my experience can help just a little in shedding some light.
