Hi All

I have been directed to this site by Catherine. Have just started CT with my mare Chloe who I have owned for 18 months after a 25 year break with no riding ! I am 44, divorced and live in Warrington, Cheshire. I am a bit of a novice and have had a loss of confidence which I am now getting over. Am finding CT very helpful in building a bond with Chloe, but get a bit stuck every now and again !

Let me be the first to welcome you. This is a lovely forum and everyone is really helpful and friendly, you will get loads of good advice here.
Chloe looks gorgeous and I believe it was you I was asking on the IHDG about your Torison saddle, am I right? I've printed out the order form for mine but Father Christmas hasn't been to collect it yet!!

Good luck with finding out what Chloe is saying to you re her saddle/girth/back/whatever. Jessie, my mare, is a bit the same and has quite a few off days with her back (I think) and I always listen to her, much to the amusement of the other people in the yard who think I am a total nutcase!

thanks for the warm welcome Helen, yes it is me that's just got a new Torsion. I bought her a girth sleeve Sunday and since then tacking up has been a dream, so looks like I may have been pinching her a bit ):

Hope you get on well with yours when it arrives. I've not quite got the stirrup length right yet. Am going to start lessons again soon as well, so will be interesting to see how I need to adjust my position.

yes that was me shivering in the cold ! Are you going to the Spring one ? I am starting lessons with Lisa again soon (she was on the bucking native pony Folly?) so hope to benefit soon as I was only s spectator !
