Don't know how many of you already know about this but the British Association of Holistic Nutrition and Medicine is organising a research project into herbal worming and need volunteers.
http://www.bahnm.org.uk
Contact BAHNM secretary: Keith Allison 01252 843282 info@bahnm.org.uk
Herbal wormers plus regular worm counts are provided at no cost. A document providing detailed information about the herbs used and the motivation behind the project is sent out as soon as you register. The actual trials aren't starting just yet and I'm not sure when they will. But I will be giving it a try. You are free to withdraw and/or supplement with chemical wormer at any point. Phone Keith for any further info

I've just had a phone call from Keith Allison to say that they're ready to start the project and will be sending packs out in the next week or so. So if you're interested but haven't made contact yet this might be the time to do so

I've been accepted as well. As far as I can gather, we all have to send off the samples on the same day. Hmmmm, looking forward to following 4 horses round the field waiting for them to poo!!!

Hi Catherine
I haven't received anything yet either, but I did get a phone call a couple of weeks ago saying that the "bottles" and other stuff would be with me soon and that I would need to first send a sample of poo off to them before beginning the programme.
I hope its not too long as my horses are actually due for chemical worming at the end of this month.
Ho hum, I'll give them a ring if I haven't had anything by next week.
I take it they send us the stuff (and sample pots??!!) before they want us to send them a sample?! I'd thought that was the case but just panicking and wondering if I've missed something. Jak's a bit over-due for chemical worming too so I'm keen to get started

Hi Catherine
Yep, Keith said he would send the sample pots, plus all other necessaries to begin the programme. But just to send the sample pots back to him asap and he would come back with a start date for starting the natural worming.
