Hi Everyone ,

Long time no speak.
Thought I'd pick all your wise brains I wonder if any of you throughout the country knows of any yards / establishments that provide therapy in one form or another for people with Learning disabilities / people at risk ect in conjunction with horses and dogs ? I want to try and get in touch with some people around the country , hopefully have a visit and get a feel for what is out there in the Uk.I have googeld a few places but would be nice to know if any of you have had any knowledge or personal involvement with such establishments ?

The reason for my inquiries is that I think I would like to try and develop my yard into some kind of center for the above in a non profit making charity . ( not me doing it personally but helping to provide the set up needed ) and would like to be able to get some back ground info on whats needed in the Uk

Thanks Guys
Rachel

Hiya Rach,

Always good to hear from you.

No evaluation, I've just seen these people mentioned a few times in various e-articles and magazines.

Hope you and yours are all ok.

Hi Rach

Would love to hear how it goes, sounds fab as I know you wouldn't let the work with the humans compromise the horses. We've talked about that on here before a while ago.

Didn't Helen Spence do an EAGALA course? You could contact her privately as I'm not sure she's been around here much. LucyG - didn't you do something as well?
