Awwww! My father calls squirrels "tree-rats" and has been known to chase them out of the garden. (we have words if we think he's getting too eccentric!) Never get a chance to eat hazel nuts as the squirrels get to them first, bury them and then get saplings everywhere. Very funny recently as he had an Australian cousin staying recently and, in the way we'd get excited to see possums in the garden, she wanted photos of the "cute" squirrels while my father had to grin and bear it....
