Wasn't the same thing said about horses, too? By the way, what an unfortunate turn of phrase:
"The disputes about the origins of dogs arise because researchers are just cutting their teeth on what Dr. OBrien called genomic archaeology." Ouch.
There's an interesting article about genetic diversity as measured in Vietnamese goats somewhere around - found to be related to function and husbandry methods from place to place, rather than geopgraphic nearness. I'll try to find it, if anyone's interested. |
