how to open windows explorer in a certain directory

I had this problem too, and I was very fortunate to receive a reply form the author himself a couple of years ago. This is the solution:

Use the following command line

C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE /e, C:\1 data\downloads

note the gap after the exe, and the comma and gap after the e
