Here's how I solved that problem:
Combine 3 actions:
1. activate window ...(whatever its title)
2. send appropriate keys ...
3. send keystroke %{TAB}
(of course, Alt+Tab combination, will return you
to last visited window, which is exactly where
you were before pressing a hotkey...)
