I had been trying to find out why sendkeys was typing text almost as slow as I type in Win NT. I tried checking the FastKeys! box in the Send Keystokes dialog. This did not help. Finally I disabled the tray icon animation and voila! FAST KEYS!!!
Select Options-General and uncheck the "Animate tray icon" feature.
I would like to know if you can use hotkeys to minimize open applications to the system tray and then use hotkeys to restore the same programs from the system tray, if it cannot does anyone know where I can obtain a program like that using keyboard hotkeys to minimize and restore from the system tray.....
Thank you for the link to WathCat. Great piece of software. Too bad it won't let you close applications with hotkeys. Other than that, it's just about the best of its kind. I also downloaded his Yet Another Calculator, another awesome software. This is guy is a great programmer, man.
I tried to download hotkeys beta 3 thrice but each time my winzip gave some type of fatal crc error. Could you please replace the file with an uncorrupted one? Or could someone mail me the beta3 zip file? thanx a lot
Who or what team is working or has worked on hotkeys 2000 ? Great program and great work! What is the forecast for the final version or is it dead?? Thank you!
Does anyone have an idea when Hotkeys 2000 final will be out, or will there be a final? This program as so many features. Maybe another addition would be for the display popup to have the option of removing the box around the text string and the background color be transparent, almost like the volume, mute and button display on my multimedia\internet keyboard. I found a problem in the the file > Print. If you uncheck any of the options in the colume, hotkeys lock up and then the Alt-Ctrl-Del keys are needed. Thank you!
I use the "degree" key quite often. One can type it with ALT-0176 and get ° but that is four keystrokes. I'd like to be able to reduce that to a single hotkey or a combination of two hotkeys. Anyone have an idea. Thanx Hotkeys is a Great program!

Easy:
Define a key to be "Send keystrokes" and, when the cursor is in the area where it asks for "Keys to send", press the ALT-0176 combination there. That will generate the "degree" symbol there and allow you to assign it to any hotkey you like.
