C/F Exhaust Cans for Superlight

by

I have a '93 Ducati 900 Superlight with Lafranconi carbon fiber exhaust cans. However, they are admittedly too loud for around-town use. I would appreciate any recommendations on high-quality, free-flowing carbon fiber cans that will offer a definite performance gain but with a more subdued exhaust note. Thank you.

speedo no work

by

I have an 02 Monster 750. The speedometer doesn't work when I ride. When I turn the key to the on position the needles on both the speedo and the tach bounce back and forth and the odometer seems to operate. Because the gauges are electronic and not mechanical there are no cables but my guess is that there is a sensor located on the bike that send a signal to the speedo when the bike is in motion. Not sure if I am on the right track or not but I don't know where to look for sucha sensor and how to check to see if it is defective. PLEASE help,
thanks John 443 865 4930 call if you would rather

taco inaccurate

by

I have a 2000 model S4 monster
The taco needle has reverted to hovering at around 2 and a half thousand RPM (whatever the engine revs are)on the dial. Even when the bike is doing over 4 and a half thousand the needle won't move over 2 and a half.

On a longer run just before this problem the taco seemed to be working (indicating the higher revs) however the needle was inconsistent, flickering up and down around say 4 and a half even when the RPM of the motor did not change.

Any ideas anyone?

Toby

Hi, I have a 2001 748 Bi that runs at about the same temp. I was going to pull the tank and check the coolant temp as well as the fan fuse. Does anyone know if this is normal??? Thanks, Mark.
