Problems

by

Hey there, you didn't give us a clue regarding how old the bike is. I had this kind of problem early on in my bikes life. I have a 2001 900ss. Turned out to be a faulty relay, for the side stand I think.. Can't fully remember. Hope the thought helps..

Rubber side down..

Just found this Ducati Forum that has a Ladies Cafe for women riders. If you ride a Ducati and would like to share stories with other women who have the same interest it seems like a great place to be. www.ducati.ms

ducati 999 electronica (gauge)

by

I just purchased a duc 999, and the front end is fairly damaged. The
front fairing is gone, and the gauge was gone. I have a new gauge for the bike, and am wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to just program this gauge to work with the bike. I have heard there are certain security issues that prevent you from swapping gauges without sending them to ducati to get them programmed. Is it possible to just swap gauges and program them yourself?

Hi Guys,

Im looking to buy this bike at the moment, and I was wondering what were the typical things to look for.

It has been very well looked after by the looks of things.

Done out in the Colours of Neil Hodgson etc.

It has covered 8000 miles and has alreayd had the cambelt done at 6k.

Any help would be appreciated.

900SS/SP to Monster conversion... I have questions?!

by

HI! I dig the streefighter look, and I'm going to convert my ss/sp to a naked bike, with a monster type front end. I origionally wanted to put a 916 front end on it (headlight fairing, windscreen, etc..) but I can't find one for less than $400!

I've got a round light, mounts, etc. I'm looking for pictures or advice on how to hide the wiring, where to hide it, etc..

Also, just a tach, with a warning light for fuel?

Help will be greatly appriciated!

Leaking Coolant

by

I just bought a 2000 748 and it leaks coolant from the expansion tank up near the ignition. I replace the o-ring that connects the housing to the tank, but it still leaks. Checked all hoses and connections and narrowed the leak to a high point some where around the expansion tank. Could there be a small hole in the tank from vibration and rubbing or maybe the cap has gone bad and does not seal? Holds liquids fine when cold, but after running a little while, it leaks. Seems like when there is pressure in the system it forces it out some where. If any could help me out or has a similar situation let me know.

Re: Leaking Coolant

by COLBY

Looks like the coolant tank is cracked. Happens alot. It's hard to see where it is cracked, but if you replaced the o-ring, the tank is about all that is left. I have replaced around 50 of them.
