With today`s snow, it`s a good reminder that training camp is like 12 weeks away!
I`m far from an expert (just a rabid fan), but my opinion is that in order to stay at a good contender status, they need Kisio to go out and find them 1-2 veteran D-men. Right now with Postma, Plante, and Seabrook gone, there`s a few gaps on the blueline and I think there is only room for one 16-year old (Kosterman).
As well, there`s the "European situation": I don't think you keep 2 20-year old Europeans on your roster, even with Boss & Karpy. Will they be able to draft someone from the last pick of the first round in the import draft? Not likely. Maybe Ulescenko will come back from Latvia - he was well liked in the locker room and will only be 19 this next year. Otherwise, does Kisio trade for a Euro?
It'll be interesting, but Kisio has been good at getting the necessary pieces in the past few years so I have faith he'll keep the Hitmen as contenders.
