I'm a little surprised that Haula has his sights set on being a Minnesota Golden Gopher, of all the schools. Minnesota had two players on their roster last year who were not from the state of Minnesota and they have a reputation for recruiting close to home only. How does a guy from Finland fit into those plans, apart from him playing high school for Shattuck?
That aside though, the biggest obstacle standing between a lot of young hockey players and an NCAA scholarship is the SATs. Haula will still have to academically qualify for school in order to play there. Not to say he's a bad student, because for all I know he's brilliant.....just a possibility is all.
