I figure that the reason he has gotten hooked on being a Golden Gopher either has to be that it's branded into players going to SSM HS or that his dad Tomi coached a lot of US football players from the state of Minnesota.
There's a Finn named Eetu Huisman who likes to comment on the Finnish hockey players and their draft status and he had this to say on Haula:
"I have no idea why Calgary Hitmen decided to use a pick on Erik Haula. He seems to have made his mind on playing college hockey and according to an article in a Finnish newspaper, no-one had even asked him whether hed be interested in playing in the WHL. He also says that he doesnt believe the difference in terms of level of hockey is that big between the USHL and the WHL, which isnt really the smartest thing to say."
So maybe based on your last comment, he'll fail the SATs and come to Calgary?
