Day 1 proved to be a very long day with a visit to the Fan Festival tent after the game where the boys with their kilts were very much in demand for photo ops. The tent was packed and there was a very good boogy group that had many of the particpants up dancing to some golden oldies. This was also the gangs first, but definitley not the last, venture into the Molson VIP tent. Bubba managed to convince the Molson folks that all of our group should be invited into this tent for the duration of the tournament. After the tent closed the crew headed out to some of the local watering holes. One place thought that Bubba and Santa were too old for the crowd but allowed us in and were surprised to find that the young folks welcomed the Memorial Cup fans with open arms and a beer or two. A good time was had by all but it ended very very early on Saturday morning.
Day 2 saw Bubba and his Halifax cohorts enter the Fan Festival tent dressed as the Hanson brothers. They nailed it right down to the foil on the knuckles and fresh blood and stitches. Hell, they even brought their road race and set it up at the table. Everyone one knows that when the boys are on the road they take their toys with them. Just to keep the Hanson brothers in check we imported former Medicine Hat Tiger Brett Scheffelmaier, actually the Zoo Keeper, to act as a peace keeper if needed. You'll see a picture of the Zoo Keeper in his patented victory pose with a beer in hand. Some things just don't change, although in this picture he only had one beer where usually it is a beer in each hand. Once again many photo ops and lots of puzzled looks from the fans.
Which one is the clown????
