We all knew the day would come when Dave would move us, but none of us wanted it to be this soon. I'm happy for Dave, but not for the Hitmen. I'm selfish, I wanted Dave to stick around as long as possible and help us win the cup. We had something special last year and I was hoping it would continue. Who knows, maybe Kisio will find another gem......
So who's the next coach? I heard Kisio on the radio late yesterday and he said he wasn't really interested in a rookie head coach, but he wouldn't rule it out. What about former Lethbridge coach Micheal Dyck? What about former Regina Pat coach and Flames assistant Rich Preston? What about SAIT's head coach Ken Babey? Do you think any of these are candiates? Not including Otto these are the first three that come to mind. As much as I like Otto I don't see him as a head coach...I had the same thoughts about Jeff Maher years back.
Here's hoping we get someone like Dave Lowry not Richard Kromm.
