Alex wants Don G to throw Christa and Isabela off of the ranch immediately. Patricio goes to see Isabela and they make out and he tells her that he can’t stay the night because there’s something very important he has to do. Macario and Miguel plan to steal one of Diego’s pistol to use in the murder. Claudio doesn’t know if he should call Bianca and Diego tells him that he should. Claudio wonders how she’ll react when she finds out he’s a friend of Diego’s. Diego cleans one of his pistol’s and tells Claudio that they’ll probably never have to use it, but they’re there just in case of an emergency. Claudio assures him that he knows how to use again.
Claudio calls Bianca and she tells him thanks for what he did and asks to see him. He agrees and tells her that there’s something really important about himself that he has to tell her. Macario and Miguel wonder where Diego would keep his pistols when Macario thinks he hears someone at the door. When he opens the door, he doesn’t find anyone spying on them. Isabela and Patricio go to bed together. Don G tells Alex that he doesn’t want to throw Christa and Isabela out because it wouldn’t be courteous and if Isabela stays, her presence will test Alex’s love for Carolina and that way, Alex will know if he really does love Carolina or not. Alex tells him that he has no doubts about his feelings for Carolina, but Don G still refuses to give him what he wants. When Alex walks away, Don G says that he doesn’t want Isabela to go because if she does, Christa will leave with her and he doesn’t want to end his affair with Christa.
Martina arrives at Renato’s and tells him and Christa that she’s learned that Victoria Salinas is the owner of a very profitable and very large ranch. Gladys goes to see Victoria and convinces her to help her again and Victoria agrees to write a letter to Gonzalo telling him to meet her at the cabin that night. Lucrecia can’t believe that Florencia would actually try to keep her and Diego apart and Gonzalo asks her what she expected Florencia to do. He offers to help Lucrecia get Diego. Victoria goes to see Maria who tells her that she wants to know about Carolina’s father. Maria tells her that Florencia had a baby a long time ago and that baby would be around Carolina’s age. She says it’s to much of a coincidence and wants to know the truth; she asks of Carolina is Florencia‘s daughter.
Victoria tells her that Carolina isn’t a Montero and no one is going to take her away. Florencia arrives at Los Encinos and is greeted by Flora. Flora tells her that Martin is sleeping and that they’re all worried that he might try to kill himself. Florencia is shocked. Martin dreams about everything that happened with Florencia and the secret Lucrecia revealed to him. He screams and wakes up. Diego comes in to see if he’s alright. Maria gets Victoria to tell her the truth: that Florencia is the woman who gave birth to Carolina. Florencia tells Flora that Luisa stole her daughter from her. Flora wonders why Florencia trusted Luisa so much and she tells her that Luisa was a good person, but her father threw her out because she was involved with Gonzalo--then she admits that Victoria was force by Gonzalo to be intimate with him.
Victoria tells Maria that she adores Carolina and if she had to choose between losing her daughter to the Monteros or getting her revenge, she’d keep Carolina. Maria is surprised. Florencia continues to cry to Flora as Diego talks to Martin. Diego asks Martin if he really believes he can spend the rest of his life without Florencia at his side. Martin admits that he can’t imagine his life without Florencia, “I love her too much.” He tells Diego that he doesn’t want to lose her but doesn’t know how he’d be able to live every day remembering the fact that she lied to him. He doesn’t know if they can go back to being as happy as they were before. Diego tells him to spend a few days thinking about things and then go and find Florencia to talk things over. Martin tells him that he knows Florencia and she’d never let so much time pass because she likes to handle problems as soon as they arise. Diego asks if Martin thinks that Florencia will come looking for him before he looks for her and Martin thinks that she might. Diego asks him if he would accept Florencia’s daughter if they got back together and Mariana was found and Martin doesn’t know.
Carolina asks Amalia about her meeting with Don Chema and Amalia tells her that Don Chema spoke of someone dying that night and warned her to stay close to Macario so that nothing would happen to him. Macario intercepts one of the ranch employees delivering a letter to Gonzalo from Victoria and takes it from him and slips it into his pocket. Victoria tells Maria how much she loves Carolina as Alex arrives to see Carolina and Amalia leaves them alone together. They both express their mistrust of Don G and know that they have to be careful because Isabela and her clan will do anything to try to separate them.
Edelmiro finds Rocio and asks her out on a date when Macario arrives. Edelmiro pushes his hat down because he doesn’t want Macario to see his face and is given the letter to give to Gonzalo and he leaves without Macario noticing he’s not one of the Montero employees. Don G asks Gladys to send Christa to him because he wants to talk about her and Isabela’s situation at the ranch. Martin tells Renato that the name Victoria uses now isn’t the name she was given at birth, but wasn’t able to find out her real name. Renato tells Martina that she has to continue investigating Victoria and pays her for her services. When Martina leaves, Renato tells Christa to go and see Don G and take him to bed and make him die of a heart attack. Christa tries to make Renato believe that Gladys will betray him
Gonzalo pours Miguel a drink but Miguel tells him he has to be sober because tonight, there’s something important he has to do. When he leaves, both Gonzalo and Lucrecia are sure that he and Macario and Patricio have something planned against Don G. Edelmiro delivers the letter to Gonzalo, his face hidden by his hat and leaves quickly. Gonzalo reads it and tells Lucrecia that Victoria wants to see him that night and Lucrecia tells him it’s the perfect opportunity to get Diego to catch Gonzalo and Victoria together. Victoria makes Maria promise not to tells anyone her secret. Maria tries again to try to make her forget her revenge and Victoria tells her she’ll think about it.
Carolina and Alex make out in the stables. Bianca asks Don Chema if Claudio is going to be the love of her life and he tells her he isn’t sure, but that her life will be changed because of him. He tells her he sees a terrible catastrophe in the future. Amalia tries to get Macario to stay the night with her, but he insists that he can’t because he has something to do. He becomes suspicious and asks her what she knows about his plans for the night. He grabs her by the head and shakes her. He yells at her to tell him what she knows and she tells him that Don Chema told her that he was going to be in danger. Macario is angry with Don Chema and vows to put the old man in his place. Don Chema tells Bianca to come back tomorrow so that he can continue reading the cards for her and Bianca and her friends promise not to tell anyone they were there.
Macario forbids Amalia to ever see Don Chema again and says that if she does, he’ll punish the old man by not feeding him for a week and he’ll beat Amalia for disobeying him. Claudio tells German that he and Bianca are going to a club together and hopes that when she finds out he’s a friend of Diego’s she won’t hate him, too. Diego tells Martin that he has cleared things up with Victoria and that if Martin really loves Florencia, he’ll go back to her. Florencia thanks Flora for her help and tells her that if Martin doesn’t forgive her, she’ll simply dedicate the rest of her life to finding her daughter and the woman who stole her away.
Alex tells Carolina that he can’t wait to marry her and she tells Alex that it will happen soon. She says she would like for her mother and Diego to get married so that she can have someone to walk her down the aisle. They kiss. Flora shows Florencia to Martin’s room and Martin immediately tells her to leave. Lucrecia asks Gonzalo if he really believes that Martin will forgive Florencia. Gonzalo says he doesn’t know, then tells Lucrecia he isn’t comfortable with Diego seeing him and Victoria in bed together and Lucrecia tells him that it doesn’t have to be that night, but it‘s the perfect way for “his rival” to finally forget about Victoria. Gonzalo reminds her that she (Lucrecia) told him that Victoria loves him (Gonzalo) and not Diego. Diego and Flora leave Martin alone with Florencia.
She begs him to forgive her and he asks her if she’s really capable of forgetting all about her own daughter just so that she can get him back. She tells him that she can’t ever forget her child. Amalia cries to Carolina because Macario is angry with him and she thinks he might get hurt. Florencia tells Martin that now that he knows the truth, she has to look for her daughter even though she knows her daughter will hate her. She says that she understands if he can’t accept that and turns to leave. He stops her and says that he can see that she has remordemientos (remorse) for her daughter and he tells her he’s going to help her look for her daughter.
Amalia tells Carolina that Macario threatened to deny Don Chema food for a week and beat her if she ever went back to see him. Carolina asks her if she’s been beat her before and Amalia admits that she was as a child. She says that Carolina would die if she knew about her life before she came to the ranch. Macario goes to Don Chema and tells him never to read the cards for Amalia again. Don Chema warns him to be careful because he saw death in the cards.
Florencia thanks Martin for promising to help her find her daughter and asks what’s going to happen between the two of them (Florencia and Martin). He tells her that he doesn’t know; he tells her he still loves her, but can’t continue living with her, at least for the moment. She asks him for another chance and he tells her maybe, but right now he needs time. She tells him that she understands and that she’ll wait however long it takes. He tells her that he’ll see her tomorrow once he’s calmed down and they can discuss how they’ll go about trying to find her daughter. She thanks him and hugs him. When he doesn’t hug her back, she pulls away and tells him that he’s the greatest man in the world. He tells her he isn’t and that he just wants to help her daughter because she’s innocent in all of this. She tells him that she’s happy to see him more calm and that she was afraid that he was going to kill himself after Flora told her how upset he was.
Flora and Diego go to the kitchen and find Victoria there. “Hello, what a lovely surprise,” Diego says. “I’m very happy to see you here.” Victoria tells him she’s happy to see him, too, but she has to leave. Flora and Maria leave quickly as Diego stops Victoria from leaving. He starts to kiss her and she stops him, telling him that she won’t have the power to stop herself and when she‘s near him, he makes her lose her mind. He tells her that she has the same affect on him and starts to kiss her again. She tells him now isn’t the time, but maybe the moment will come soon and leaves. Diego is happy to hear her say the word “maybe”.
Martin tells Florencia that there are lots of reasons to live and he’d never commit suicide. Florencia is happy to hear that. She hopes that one day he’ll forgive her and tells him goodbye. He says, “No, not goodbye. I’ll see you tomorrow.” She thanks God that he gave her a man like Martin even if he leaves her in the end. Renato and Christa arrive at the ranch and Gladys tells Christa that Don G is looking for her. When Christa leaves, Renato tells Gladys he wants to talk to Victoria and she tells him that she and Victoria will be busy that night as Gonzalo refuses another drink from Lucrecia, telling her he wants to enjoy himself with Victoria. Florencia walks into the room and tells Lucrecia that Martin is going to help her find her daughter. Diego, German, and Martin eat and Martin doesn’t know what he’s going to do about the situation with his wife. Diego later asks Maria to invite Victoria over to see her whenever she wants because every time he sees her, he’s able to steal a kiss or two.
Victoria finds Renato waiting outside her cabin and he tells her that he knows that Victoria Salinas isn’t her real name. He bluffs and tell her that he knows everything about her. Victoria tells him that he should be afraid of her now that he knows who she really is. Christa tells Isabela that Martina was working for Renato. Renato tells Victoria that he can destroy her whenever he wants as Victoria thinks to herself if he really knows everything. She decides to find out exactly what he knows. She says, “Now that you know that I’m Beatriz Molina, you also know that you have to be careful, because I’m not alone.” Renato calls her Beatriz, thinking it’s her real name and tells her that she’s the one who should be careful around him.
Patricio tells Macario about his encounter with Isabela and laughs, thinking that Isabela could be in love with him. He assures Macario that he’s only using Isabela for sex and didn’t tell him what they had planned for that night. Christa learns that Isabela was with Patricio and promises not to say anything to Renato unless she absolutely has to. Victoria/Luisa/Beatriz trades threats with Renato. Diego tells everyone that he and Victoria have made peace and she told him all of her secrets. In the background working, Maria is sure that Victoria didn’t tell Diego that Carolina isn’t her daughter. Renato tells Victoria that she’ll come to bed with him someday, because women can’t resist him. Then, he tells her that if he can’t have her, he’ll just have to have her daughter, Carolina.
Carolina tells Amalia that she can spend the night in her cabin with her and Victoria because she’s so scared. Amalia thinks Victoria is weird because she loves Diego, but won’t let herself get too close. Victoria threatens to kill Renato if he bothers Carolina. Renato doesn’t feel threatened and repeats his warning before he leaves. Rocio arrives and asks what Renato was doing there. Amalia vows to Carolina that she’s going to find out the name of the woman Macario wants her to share him with. Miguel meets up with Patricio and Macario and synch their watches to the exact same time so that in an hour, they can go to the Ibarra ranch and follow through with their plan. Macario stops Miguel from drinking too much as they iron out their plans.
Victoria lies to Rocio and tells her that Renato was simply looking for his niece. Victoria learns that Florencia is at the ranch and wonders if she knows that Carolina is her daughter Mariana. Florencia tells Lucrecia that Martin is going to help her find her daughter, but Lucrecia thinks she’s making it up just to bother her. Gonzalo asks Florencia to forge her threat to keep Diego and Lucrecia apart now that she’s getting Martin back. Florencia refuses and promises to do the impossible to keep them apart. Lucrecia refuses to give up Diego and Florencia tells her that she doesn’t have to, because Diego doesn’t want her anyway and walks out of the room. Martin learns from Diego and German that Bianca and Claudio like each other and are going to a club together.
Gerardo and Alex are worried about Bianca going on a date with Claudio and Gerardo wants to go with her to the club as Ruben overhears at her door and wonders about Claudio. Victoria tells Amalia she doesn’t care if she stays the night with them, but asks her if there’s something wrong with her. Amalia tells her about Macario as Macario, Patricio, and Miguel plot and scheme. Gladys tells Don G that she doesn’t want Carolina and Alex together and that Isabela is the ideal wife for him. Don G asks her if she knows that Gonzalo wants to divorce her. She’s shocked as Gonzalo comments to Lucrecia that the hatred in their family has extended to his three sisters, as well. Lucrecia doesn’t care and says that Macario, Patricio, and Miguel have been plotting and planning to kill Don G for months and nothing has happened yet. She hopes they get rid of them soon and doesn’t think that Gerardo is a threat to her and Gonzalo getting their father’s fortune. They decide that if Gerardo gets in their way, they’ll just have to get rid of him.
Bianca, Gerardo, and her friends go to the club and Claudio arrives and is introduced to Gerardo who asks to speak to him alone later. Ruben arrivers at the club and looks for Bianca. Some of the girls make fun of him because he’s old and hanging out at a club for young people. Bianca thanks Claudio for helping her and he tells her that he’s a friend of Diego Ibarra.
