Macario shows up at Victoria’s cabin and roughly drags Amalia out. Victoria thinks that maybe things would be better if she forgot about her revenge and married Diego; that way, she’d be happy with Diego and she wouldn’t have to lose her daughter. Patricio goes home and tries to slip into his bedroom without Florencia knowing, but Florencia wakes up and he pretends that nothing has happened. Florencia tells him that Martin promised to help her look for her daughter. Amalia is afraid as Macario tosses her onto the bed and orders her to take her clothes off.

Diego asks Victoria if she’s okay and she tells him that she’s just sad that Martin killed himself.
Patricio tries to convince Florencia that it was suicide, but Florencia knows that it’s impossible that Martin would kill himself and knows that someone must have killed him.
