Victoria watches as Diego and Lucrecia kiss. When Victoria leaves, he ends the kiss and calls Lucrecia a viper as Carolina and Amalia learn from Edelmiro that the wedding is off. Lucrecia tells him to forget about Victoria and tries to kiss him. He stops her and tells her to remember that last kiss because it’ll be the last she receives from him during their entire marriage and storms out of the room. Victoria finds Carolina and tells her everything that’s happened. She tells Carolina that all she wants is to see her happy now and get her revenge. Carolina is shocked that Diego is marrying Lucrecia and begs her to forget her revenge, but Victoria tells her that her revenge is her only reason for living.
Alex finishes his work and tells Gerardo that he has to go and see Carolina. Miguel arrives and tells them that he’s going to get his last name changed to Montero. Ramon tells Don G that he has another day or two in the hospital and knows that Don G is making his family believe that he’s sicker than he really is just to bother them. Don G asks Ramon about Salvador, saying that before he died, he wanted to talk to Salvador so that he could clear his conscience. Carolina asks Don Chema to read the cards for her and tell her what’s happening with Victoria and Diego. He tells her the same thing, that true love always wins. Edelmiro tells everyone at Los Encinos that Carolina was surprised at the news when Diego arrives announces that he’s going to marry Lucrecia.
Lucrecia asks Gladys where she’s going and guesses that she’s meeting Gonzalo in the cabin. She tells her that she’ll keep her secret if she doesn’t tell Don G that she’s marrying Diego. Renato and Macario inspect the cabin as Victoria cries and Renato finds her alone. She tells him that she’s not giving him the money and if he tells Carolina the truth, she’ll tell everyone that he is Alex’s real father. Renato tells her that if she tells everybody that he’s Alex’s father, he’ll tell everybody that Carolina is the result of the night Gonzalo raped her. Victoria tells him that it’s not true. He tells her to give him the money or he’ll tell Carolina that she’s not her daughter and she threatens him with telling Don G that he’s Alex’s father.
Alex and Gerardo are surprised that Miguel is going to be a Montero. They congratulate him and Alex tells him that they’ll do all the paperwork tomorrow. Renato doesn’t want to lose the $100,000 dollars that she promised him and tells him that he knows lots of other stuff about her and threatens to ruin her relationship with Diego and she laughs, telling him that it’s over with Diego. Everyone is shocked at Diego’s announcement and tells him that he won’t mind if they don’t come to his wedding, because he doesn’t want to go himself and leaves the room. They wonder what’s going on and decide to get to the bottom of it. Renato doesn’t believe that Victoria and Diego are finished and she tells him that he can have the Montero fortune because all she wants is her revenge. He asks if she’s proposing something and she offers to unite with him against the Monteros. Macario brings Gonzalo champagne for his night with Victoria as Gonzalo waits for her. Renato tells Victoria to let him think about their union against the Monteros and agree to meet tomorrow. When he leaves, she says that she’ll use Renato and anyone else to get her revenge, then says that afterwards, she’ll deal with Diego and Lucrecia.
Flora visits Diego in his office and wants an explanation. He tells her it’s doing it all for love and tells her that he’s marrying Lucrecia because he loves Victoria. Don Chema reads the cards and confuses her when he tells her that the wedding will happen, but at the same time it won’t really happen. Lucrecia cries remembering Diego’s words about never kissing her again. Gladys meets Gonzalo and decides to find a way to continue meeting him there because she doesn’t want it to be the last time as Victoria cries and wonders what happened to her life. Maria comes to see her and hugs her and asks what happened. Victoria tells her that Diego is the one who left her and not the other way around. Diego goes to see the priest and tells him that the wedding is back on and tells him everything that’s happened.
Don Chema tells Carolina to tell Victoria to be careful as Renato tells Christa what’s happened and that they’re going to be working alongside Victoria against the Monteros. Victoria and Maria talk about everything that’s happened and Victoria tells Maria that she doesn’t matter what happened between her and Diego because now all that matters is her revenge against the Monteros and Diego, too. Diego tells the priest that Victoria’s freedom is in jeopardy as Patricio thinks about Macario’s threat to tell the police. He sees his father and Florencia’s wedding picture and wants his revenge against Macario. He looks at a picture of Florencia and says that she’s not ugly and wonders if Don G was serious or simply playing with him. He goes to Florencia;s room and watches her sleeping. She wakes up and asks him what happened. He tells her that he misses Martin and sits next to her on the bed and she hugs him. He rubs her back and her hair and calls her Florencia. She asks why he called her that and not “mama”.
Diego tells the priest that Lucrecia is blackmailing him as Lucrecia thinks about his words and says that she doesn’t want a marriage like Gonzalo and Gladys and says that she wants Diego completely. Gonzalo is in bed with Gladys and still thinks he’s with Victoria. He flips on the lights and finds Gladys in bed with him. He climbs out of bed and insults her, asking her where Victoria is and she tells him that it was all Victoria’s idea. Maria is shocked to hear Victoria say that she wants her revenge against the Monteros and Diego. Maria defends Diego, but Victoria doesn’t want to hear it. Diego begs the priest to talk to Lucrecia and make her see that what she’s doing is wrong. Florencia tells Patricio that she loves him like a son and tells him not to call her by her real name and keep calling her ‘mama’. The priest and Diego talk about Carolina and Victoria and her real mother. The priest tells Diego that Victoria has to pay for what she’s done and Diego tries to make him see that Victoria isn’t at fault.
Gonzalo gets dressed and insults Gladys as she tells him that truth that he’s never gone to bed with Victoria. He fumes and can‘t believe that Victoria betrayed him. Diego tells the priest everything that happened to Victoria when she was young and doesn’t know how he‘ll live without Victoria. Gladys cries and begs Gonzalo not to reject her and when she tries to touch him, he yells at her and refuses to believe what she’s telling him. She cries and tells him that she loves him. She tries to touch him again and he yells at her again. She begs him to give her a chance. When she touches him again, he pushes her away and grabs her hair roughly and yells at her trying to make her say that she’s lying. Victoria tells Maria that she’s working with Renato now to get her revenge and Maria is shocked and reminds her that he tried to kill her.
Renato and Christa are in bed and he says that he’s going to need Martina’s help again and still plans to get his hands on all of Victoria’s money. Renato mistreats Gladys and scoffs when she tells him that everything she did she did for love. She tells him that she’s loved him forever and he tells her that he hates her. She begs him not to leave her and he tells her never to come near him again and he feels dirty at the thought that she actually touched him. He leaves and she screams for him to come back. Carolina walks in on Victoria and Maria talking and asks what they were talking about. Gonzalo gets a drink and tells Lucrecia what happened. He swears that he’s going to kill Gladys as she rages in the cabin. She vows never to Victoria be happy with Diego.
Diego goes home and thinks about Victoria, saying that he’ll never forget her. Victoria dodges Carolina’s question and Maria leaves. Carolina hugs her mother and tells her that Don Chema said that she’s in danger. Gonzalo tells Lucrecia that he hates Gladys and hates Victoria now, too, and will get his payback. Later, Lucrecia watches him sleep and wants him to want Victoria so that he can keep Victoria from Diego. She tells Martina to watch Gonzalo and make sure that Gonzalo doesn’t hurt Gladys. Victoria goes to see Don Chema and asks him who she has to be careful of as Lucrecia goes to see the priest. He calls her a sinner and a blackmailer and tells her that someone like her can’t be married in a church.
The priest confronts Lucrecia as Maria confronts Diego for hurting Victoria and making her go back to wanting her revenge. Diego tells Maria that she has to make Victoria leave and go far away, but Maria tells him that if he’s so concerned about her, he should go and find her and tell her himself. Don Chema warns Victoria that she’s in danger if she unites with Renato and she tells him that she’ll be careful, but won’t give up her revenge. The priest admonishes Lucrecia and refuses to marry her and Diego and she tells him that she’ll find another church. He tells her that God won’t bless her marriage and she tells him that she doesn’t care and leaves. Gladys goes to see Renato and tells him and Christa what happened with Gonzalo and they laugh at her.
Don Chema tells Victoria that not only is her life in danger if she continues what she plans to do, but Carolina is in danger, too. Renato tells Gladys that he needs Martina again and tells her that he and Victoria are accomplices. Don Chema tells Victoria that Carolina won’t suffer physically for what she’s doing, but she will suffer in another way and warns her that she could lose Carolina. Alex finds Carolina and they kiss. He tells her that he’s sorry he didn’t come and tell her in person what happened with Isabela. She pretends to be angry and tells him that he should have told him herself and tells him that he has to make it up to her….with a kiss. They kiss and vow that no one is going to break them up. Isabela goes to see Macario and tells him that it’s time for them to put their plan into action. He tells her that he ahs other plans now. Alex tells Carolina that that he’s going to see Don G and tell him to throw Isabela off the ranch or he’ll leave. Patricio takes Florencia to work and calls her pretty, but feels ridiculous trying to seduce her.
Alex goes to see Don G and asks him if what Miguel said was true. Don G tells him it’s true and he’s going to do it, but it will cost him dearly. Miguel tells Ruben and Constanza that he’s going to have his last name changed to Montero. Ruben is dubious and Miguel tells him to get used to treating him like a Montero because Alex is going to help him fill out the paperwork. When he leaves, Ruben expresses his anger to Constanza. Alex tells Don G not to play with Miguel’s feelings and Don G asks him about what happened with Isabela. Alex asks him to make Isabela leave and Don G asks him if he has doubts about Carolina because of what happened with Isabela.
Isabela tells Macario that Martina and Gladys will help them break up Carolina and Alex. Gonzalo remembers what happened the night before and tells Martina to get out. She tells him that she just came to tell him that Gladys has left the ranch. She leaves and he thinks about what happened last night and can’t believe that Victoria loves Diego. He vows to make them pay. Lucrecia encounters Flora at the Ibarra ranch. Diego tells her that the lady of the house is still going to be Flora. Alex tells Don G that Ruben was making things up and nothing happened and still loves Carolina and want to marry her. Carolina and Amalia decide to go to Los Encinos so that Amalia can begin learning how to use the computer with German and Carolina can deliver Bianca‘s message to Claudio.
Bianca thinks about Claudio and Constanza asks her to promise never to see him again, but she still wants to despite the fact that he went to prison. Lucrecia encounters Flora at Los Encinos and tells her that she’s going to be the new lady of the house, but Diego tells her that Flora will always be the lady of the house and Flora leaves them alone. Lucre wants to be treated with the respect she thinks she deserves and wants to be more important than Flora. He tells her that if she doesn’t like it, she can refuse to marry him.
Gonzalo confronts Victoria, grabbing her by the hair and tosses her on the bed. She calls for help and he tells her that he’s going to make her his right now. He asks her why she betrayed him when he loved her so much and was going to get a divorce so that he could marry him. She tells him that he disgusts her. Don G tells Alex that he’s not going to throw Isabela off the ranch yet. Alex accuses Don G of supporting Isabela and tells him that he’s not going to let him ruin his life by forcing him to marry someone he doesn’t want. When he leaves, Don G plays with his chess pieces and vows that he’s going to win.
Amalia asks Macario permission for her and Carolina to go to Los Encinos because Carolina wants to talk to Diego. Gonzalo grabs Victoria by the throat and starts choking her. She tells him that he deserves Gladys. Lucrecia tells Diego that he’s going to marry her and if he doesn’t, she’s going to tell the police that Victoria kidnapped Carolina. He tells her that even though he agreed to marry her, that’s all he’s going to do. She asks him what he means by that and he tells her that if she doesn’t stop bothering him, he’s going to find another way to save Victoria so that he doesn’t have to marry her (Lucrecia). Gonzalo tosses Victoria onto the bed and tells her that he’s going to make her his and tries to pull up her skirt. She screams for help and kicks him between the legs and tries to run. He catches her and continues to grope and kiss her.
