Victoria and Gonzalo are the center of attention at Diego/Lucrecia’s wedding. Victoria announces that they are a couple, even calls him “mi amor”. Ruben learns from Gladys that Lucrecia’s marrying Diego and becomes angry with Constanza for not telling him before. He grabs her roughly, but Gerardo pulls him off of his mother and stands up to him. Lucrecia tells Diego that now he should be able to see that Victoria isn’t the woman he thought she was. He doesn’t understand why Victoria is with Gonzalo when only a few days ago he tried to rape her. Diego notices his mother’s necklace around Victoria’s neck and asks her how she got it. Gerardo continues to stand up for his mother and sister. Gladys insults Constanza and her children, but Constanza tells her to stay out of it because it’s family business, not hers.
Gladys tells her that she is a part of the family, but Constanza makes her leave the room when she throws her miserable marriage with Gonzalo in her face. Diego asks Victoria where she got the necklace and Gonzalo tells him, then Lucrecia not to yell at or insult Victoria. Victoria tells them all that they belonged to man who she loved deeply but he betrayed her in the worst way possible. Rocio and Carolina wonder why Diego is marrying Lucrecia.
Rocio thinks that Carolina moving to Los Encinos would be a good idea because then she could be a thorn in Lucrecia’s side and find out why Diego married her. Gonzalo announces to Diego that he and Victoria will be getting married as soon as possible. Victoria doesn’t stop Gonzalo from kissing her. Diego watches their kiss, says that he’s happy they found love with each other, then turns and kisses Lucrecia. Watching from a distance, Maria tells Flora how she told Victoria not to provoke Diego by wearing the jewels.
She tells Flora that Victoria’s the one who bought the jewels and they’re all surprised to hear that Victoria has that kind of money. Carolina tells Rocio how much she wants Alex back and Rocio tells her that neither Alex nor Isabela slept at the ranch last night. Isabela and Alex wake up in the hotel room and he goes to get dressed. She still plans to make him think that the baby she’s carrying is his. Ramon tells Don G that he should stay a few more days in the hospital because of what happened yesterday with Amalia, but Don G wants to go home.
Everyone waits for the justice of the peace to arrive for the wedding. Lucrecia rubs her future marriage in Victoria’s face as Diego tells Maria that they need to talk later about the jewelry. Florencia follows Diego out of the room. He refuses to tell her why he’s marrying Lucrecia and when he leaves her alone, she comes to the conclusion that Lucrecia must be pregnant. Maria, German, and Edelmiro are surprised to learn that Victoria has a lot of money. Lucrecia greets her friends as Victoria tells Gonzalo never to surprise her again with a kiss. He threatens her again with revealing her secret. Carolina thinks about Rocio’s suggestion that she move to Los Encinos.
Renato makes Christa cry and they hope that Alex doesn’t suspect that the baby Isabela is expecting isn’t his. Isabela arrives and gives him the news that she had sex with Alex. Patricio tells Miguel that if he gets his name changed, he’ll tell everybody about their plans to get the Motnero fortune. Amalia studies when Macairo arrives. He still wants her as a lover and Carolina as a wife and tells Amalia that she’s completely alone without him. Amalia tells him that she’s not alone anymore--she’s got German. Macario is shocked and she runs out of the room. German, Edelmiro, and German can’t believe what’s happening and try to keep up appearances. Lucrecia has a twisted satisfaction with the thought that her wedding to Diego might finally kill her father.
In a wheelchair, Don G is brought home by Alex and learns from Gladys that Lucrecia is getting married to Diego Ibarra. He is not pleased. The judge arrives for the wedding and Diego tries to talk some sense into Lucrecia, but she tells him that if he doesn’t marry her, he still won’t have Victoria because Victoria is now in love with Gonzalo. They approach the judge just as Don G is pushed in by Alex. He climbs out of his wheelchair and tells them that the wedding is not going to happen. Diego tells Don G that he is in complete agreement with him, but Lucrecia pulls him close and whispers her threat to have Victoria put in prison.
Diego says, “After everything that’s happened, maybe Victoria deserves to be in prison.” Gladys and Constanza bump heads. Gonzalo hopes that the wedding will kill Don G and Victoria tells him that it would be too quick and easy for someone as cruel as Don G. Her comment surprises Gonzalo. Florencia tells Don G that Lucrecia is pregnant and everyone in the room is shocked. Renato warns Isabela against failing to do what he told her to do. Martina arrives and he asks her to find about Victoria’s financial status because he has to find a way for her to give him control over her money and she agrees to have a friend help her forge some documents for him.
Victoria adds to the baby news by telling all present that she and Gonzalo hope to have a baby too, someday. Diego believes her act and he’s happy she thinks he’s having a baby with Lucrecia, thinking to himself that she deserves it. Lucrecia tells Diego that if he allows her father to ruin their wedding, she’ll tell the police about Victoria. Alex and Florencia stop Don G from attacking Lucrecia. He calls Florence an “alcahueta desvergonzada.” Don G can’t get Lucrecia to leave with him, so he disowns her, telling her she is no longer his daughter. He sees Gonzalo with Victoria and asks if she’s his new lover.
He insults her and Carolina, but Victoria sticks up for herself and Carolina, telling him that they don’t want any of his money. Diego defends Carolina. He tells Gonzalo to get back to the ranch now and if he doesn’t it’s best that he never comes back. Alex takes Don G back home and Diego asks to speak to Lucrecia alone. Victoria doesn’t want to stick around for the rest and leaves with Gonzalo. Diego is angry because she didn’t tell the truth about being pregnant, and she asks him why he didn’t deny it when Florencia said it. Victoria tells Gonzalo how much she hates Diego now and he continues to threaten to tell her secret.
She tells him that she’s not going to be his lover, but will marry him once he gets his divorce from Gladys. Gladys and Constanza learn that Lucrecia is no longer a Montero and that she’s pregnant with Diego’s baby. Lucrecia tells Diego that he enjoyed making her jealous just as much as she enjoyed making Victoria jealous. Diego wonders if Victoria deserves what he’s doing for her and Lucrecia tells him that he loves her too much to see her put in prison. She continues to poison Diego’s perception of Victoria. Carolina finds Victoria crying and learns that Lucrecia’s pregnancy is the reason why Diego is marrying Lucrecia. Diego decides to go ahead with the wedding.
Flora and Florencia believe the lie about Lucrecia being pregnant, but still don’t think that Diego should marry her. The judge performs the wedding, Diego and Lucrecia sign and Diego is annoyed when the priest tells him to kiss the bride. They kiss. Carolina is angry about Diego and Lucrecia and Victoria plans to confront him. Gonzalo gives Constanza and Gladys the news as Alex tells Don G that all the problems in the ranch are his doing because he’s always trying to control people. He also announces that soon he’ll be moving off of the ranch.
Florencia tells Lucrecia how much she’s going to suffer, but Lucrecia isn’t convinced. Diego goes outside and meets Victo
