Rocio tells Carolina that Macario is angry and looking for Amalia and knows that she’s seeing someone at the other ranch. They both hope that Amalia never goes back to Macario and Carolina is certain that if Macario finds out that she’s with German, he’s capable of killing him. Bianca is still with Claudio, German and Amalia when she realizes how late it is and how her father will kill her if he catches her coming home so late. Patricio and Miguel are stressed out about the situation they’re in when Ruben arrives and suggests they work together to make sure Gonzalo doesn’t end up with everything. Patricio turns him down. Ruben leaves angrily and Gonzalo arrives drunk and in tears after what Victoria told him. Renato is angry because Isabela hasn’t come to see him yet and Christa assures him that she told Isabela to come over. She also informs him that yesterday, Isabela wanted to escape and maybe that’s why she hasn’t shown up yet.
Isabela tells Alex that Carolina told her that she isn’t going to marry him, but he tells her that he and Carolina have talked and he’s convinced her to be his wife. Isabela threatens to abort her baby because she doesn’t want to bring it into this world without a father. He is angry and warns her not to do anything to his child. Carolina tells Rocio that although Victoria is leaving for California, she’ll be back to witness her marry Alex. Victoria tells Gladys that if she loves her husband so much, she should tell Gonzalo that Alex isn’t his child. When Gladys leaves, Victoria asks God for forgiveness for making Gonzalo believe that Alex and Carolina are siblings. She plans to tell Diego to tell Carolina the truth once she’s gone because she doesn’t want them to think that they’re brother and sister. Edelmiro delivers a letter from Diego to Victoria and agrees to meet with him later.
Diego tells German and Claudio that he’s going to say goodbye to Victoria and asks for one of them to take Maria to the airport because she’s going with her. German will take her because Claudio wants to be home in case Bianca has trouble with her father. Ruben tells Constanza that she doesn’t have his permission to go to California with Florencia, but Constanza doesn’t care and tells him she’s going anyway. He catches Bianca sneaking into the house and asks her where she was and why she’s so late getting home. She tells him that it’s not his problem and he slaps her. She begins to cry and tells him not to hit her anymore, and begins to look guilty. He softens and tells her to go to her room and they’ll talk later. His eyes actually tear up as she tells him that it’s not her fault that someone stole the will and leaves.
Alex and Macario find Gonzalo drunk and passed out on a couch. Alex wakes him up and asks what’s wrong. Gonzalo tells him that he can’t marry Carolina because things have changed. He begs him not to marry Carolina and Alex is confused because he was one of the first people to congratulate him on his engagement. Diego meets Victoria at a club. He tells her how beautiful she looks and she thanks him for inviting her. They sit down and he tells her that he wants their goodbye to be unforgettable. He hands her a champagne glass and finds a ring in it. He puts it on her ring finger and tells her that it’s an engagement ring for when he finally manages to divorce Lucrecia. They kiss. He tells her that they were born to be together and pours her some champagne. They hope that someday soon they’ll be able to get married and be together forever. She asks him how many years he thinks she will get for taking Carolina. Gonzalo begs Alex not to marry Carolina and Alex is confused. Gladys arrives and suggests Gonzalo go to his room. Macario agrees with her, but Gonzalo doesn’t want to. Macario pulls him out of the room, Gonzalo screaming at him not to marry Carolina. Alex asks Gladys why his father said what he said but she doesn’t tell him. She says that she won’t allow him to marry Carolina and whatever it takes, she’ll prevent the wedding from happening.
Carolina tells Rocio that she’ll be her maid of honor at her wedding and they’ll go to look for a wedding dress together. They’re both excited and Carolina says that even though it’ll piss Lucrecia off, she plans to ask Diego to walk her down the aisle. Lucrecia asks Flora where Diego is and learns that he left with Victoria. She immediately thinks he’s run away with Victoria, but Flora tells her that he hasn’t but if she keeps him in this sham of a marriage, he’s liable to abandon his ranch just to get away from her. Victoria is certain that when Florencia learns the truth, she’s going to do whatever it takes to see her put in prison. Constanza stays the night at Florencia’s and they talk about Ruben and their father. Constanza is determined to get a divorce. Bianca says that she doesn’t care what her father says and she won’t stop seeing Claudio. Ruben walks into the room and tells her that they have to talk. He tells her that Constanza wants to divorce him and he’s sure she’s going to go back to being a slut like she was before he married her.
Biacna tells her father that she already knows her mother plans to divorce him and thinks her mother is making the right decision. He is angry, telling her that Constanza should be eternally grateful to him because he married her even though she was a slut. Bianca yells at him, saying that her mother isn’t a slut. Florencia and Constanza think that they’ll soon find Florencia’s daughter and are excited. Florencia can’t wait to see Luisa again. Victoria worries about what Carolina will think when she finds out the truth and tells Diego that she wants him to talk to Carolina that very night and tells her that she’s Flroencia’s daughter and she stole her from her. She tells him to tell her everything and do so soon because she told Gonzalo a lie and doesn’t want Carolina to think that Alex is her brother. He agrees to tell Carolina the truth. Victoria tells him that if it’s necessary, he is to tell Carolina that Alex isn’t Gonzalo’s child.
Alex and Gerardo talk and Alex worries about what has happened to make his father change his mind about him marrying Carolina. Macario talks to Gonzalo about the inheritance, but Gonzalo tells him that he’s ruined his son’s life forever and he’s going to hate him. He asks Macario if he remembers Luisa. He does and Gonzalo tells him that Victoria is Luisa and Carolina is his daughter. Macario is shocked. Gladys goes over to Renato’s and angrily asks him why he didn’t tell her that Victoria was Luisa. Diego agrees to talk to Carolina and assures Victoria that Carolina will forgive her. They kiss and they decide to stop talking about it and enjoy their night together. They dance. Gladys tells Renato that Gonzalo is going to tell Alex that he and Carolina are sisters and Renato tells her that if he does, it will work in their favor, but reminds her that Alex is his child, not Gonzalo’s. Gladys is still upset.
Gerardo tries to calm Alex down, but Alex can’t stop worrying about what his father was talking about. He plans to talk to Gonzalo. Gonzalo tells Macario that he’s not going to tell Carolina anything because he doesn’t care about her and thinks she’s as bad as her mother. The only thing he cares about is that his son will hate him. Carolina is happy that Maria is going with Victoria and invites her to her wedding. Claudio asks Carolina if she saw Bianca because he’s worried her father might hurt her. Bianca tells Ruben that her mother isn’t a slut. He tells her that he’s not going to let her turn into a slut like her mother and says that she won’t ever leave the house without his permission and plans to take her to and from school himself. Bianca objects and he asks her who asked her for her opinion. He tells her to shut up because he’s not finished, telling her she’s not to leave her room without his permission and warns her that if he finds out she’s got a boyfriend, he’ll kill him and send her to a convent.
Carolina promises Claudio to check on Bianca for him. German arrives to take Maria to the airport and she says goodbye to Carolina. She tells Carolina that no matter what happens, everything Victoria did was for love of her. She leaves and Carolina wonders what she meant. Diego and Victoria dance and they wish the night would never end. She tells him they have to go to the airport and they kiss. The next day, Maria tells Diego that she and German were waiting at the airport but he and Victoria didn’t show up on time. He apologizes and tells her that their plane leaves today at eleven and German will take her to the airport. Lucrecia walks in and accuses him of seeing Victoria the night before. Diego asks Maria and German to leave him alone with Lucrecia. Gladys wakes Gonzalo up and he has a hang-over. She asks him if he wants to lose Alex’s love and he tells her that he doesn’t but he’ll have to because he has to tell Alex the truth.
Gladys tells him that, in exchange for sex, she’ll make sure that Carolina and Alex break up without him having to tell Alex the truth. Diego admits to Lucrecia that he was with Victoria last night and tells her that it’s time they talk. She asks about what and he tells her that he no longer cares if Carolina finds out that Florencia is her mother and tomorrow he’s going to start divorce proceedings. She is shocked and angry. She tells him that he can’t, but he tells her that he’s going to divorce her and if she won’t cooperate, he’ll simply find a judge and forcefully divorce her without her consent. She says she’s not afraid of the law and she’ll never divorce him. He tells her that the law can force her, whether she likes it or not. She’s in tears and tells him that he’s lying about not caring if Florencia and Carolina know the truth, but tells her that he’s serious and her blackmail is over.
Gonzalo doesn’t believe Gladys can do what she says and asks her if she even cares about her son. He can’t believe she’s using her son’s situation just to get him bed. She tells him that she’ll do whatever to make him her husband in every sense. He tells her that he’ll never love her and calls her a witch. Diego tells Lucrecia that she can either cooperate or he’ll simply divorce her by force. She tells him to stop threatening her and he says he’s simply informing her what she can expect if she doesn’t agree to the divorce. Angrily, she shoves him and thinks he’s bluffing, saying that she wants to see him tell Carolina the truth. Florencia and Constanza arrive in California and hope that soon they’ll find information on Florencia’s daughter.
Florencia imagines how wonderful it’ll be when she finds her daughter and thinks that perhaps Luisa’s done something to turn Mariana against her. Victoria tells Maria how wonderful yesterday was with Diego and thinks that Carolina will hate her when Diego tells her the truth. Alex tells Gerardo he’ll meet him at the office later and plans to see his father and find out why he no longer supports his desire to marry Carolina. Gladys tells Gonzalo that he’ll never be able to tell Alex the truth because he’ll hate him for it. Gonzalo won’t change his mind about telling Alex and plans to prepare himself before going to find Alex and tell him the truth. Alex bangs on their bedroom door, telling Gonzalo to open it so that they can talk.
