Lucrecia wonders how she’s going to make Diego stay with her and forget Victoria. Diego tells the detective that Victoria’s problems with the Monteros are her own and he won’t talk about it. The detective is suspicious of Victoria and gets Diego to agree to go to New York with him so they can find out who bought the gun that killed his brother. Flora learns from Maria what Lucrecia did and Victoria insists that they wait until Diego comes back and let him decide what to do. Flora wants to call the police on her and begs her to be careful. Victoria promises and asks if Diego’s had a chance to speak with Carolina yet and Flora tells her that Diego couldn’t find her. Victoria hopes that Gonzalo or Gladys haven’t said anything to Carolina.
Gladys tells Isabela that she won’t accept Patricia’s child as her grandson and Isabela tells her not to act like a saint because she’s done the same thing with Alex and Gonzalo. Christa stops their argument, telling them that it doesn’t matter if Gladys won’t accept the baby, all that matters is that Alex doesn’t find out the truth. Isabela reminds Gladys that Victoria knows the truth about Alex’s paternity. Diego tells the detective that he isn’t afraid to go to New York because they won’t recognize him as the man who bought the gun. Gonzalo tells Santos to tell him immediately when Alex gets home because he needs to speak with him. Santos tells him that Alex called and asked that a suitcase be packed with some of his things. Gonzalo tells him not to let Alex leave without talking to him first. He goes to meet with Macario. Rocio gets Santos to agree to help her break Bianca out of her room.
Claudio is worried about Bianca and Amalia and German try to calm him down. Amalia leaves to go check on Bianca. Claudio tells German that if he is left with no other choice, he’ll simply have to take Bianca away from her father. Bianca is still locked up while Santos and Rocio are picking the lock. Patricio and Miguel are anxious to get the family together to have the will read and Ocampo is scared that Gladys will tell his wife that he was unfaithful. Santos continues to try to free Bianca from her prison when they hear Ruben coming. They leave and Ruben is about to unlock the door when he gets a phone call from Ocampo and he’s happy that Gonzalo isn’t going to inherit. In California, Florencia and Constanza still haven’t found out Luisa’s new name. Constanza is phoned by Ocampo and he tells her that they need to meet tomorrow in Miami.
Carolina finds Victoria in Diego’s kitchen and confronts her for letting her fall in love with Alex when she knew they were siblings. “Te odio con todo mi alma!” she screams at her. Victoria tells her that she’s not Alex’s sister and confesses that she’s not her real mother and she’s adopted. They’re both in tears and Victoria asks for forgiveness, saying that she should have told her a long time ago. She assures her that she’s not Gonzalo’s daughter. The detective tells Diego that they don’t have to go to New York; he’ll simply send a picture of him to New York. He tells Diego that he plans to investigate Victoria, too. Carolina tells Victoria not to call her “hija” anymore and Victoria cries as she tells her that she is her daughter, even though she didn’t give birth to her. Carolina calls her “Victoria” and thinks that she adopted her just so that she could one day get her revenge and tells her, “I’ll never forgive you. Never, Victoria Salinas!”
Alex arrives at home and Rocio tells him that she packed his suitcase and it’s in his bedroom. Rocio and Santos watch him go upstairs and Santos leaves to tell Gonzalo that Alex is home. Rocio plans to go and listen at Bianca’s door to see what her father says to her. Edelmiro shows up and is jealous because Rocio’s been hanging out with Santos. Gonzalo and Macario talk and hope their plans continue to work. Gonzalo is worried about Ruben’s reaction, but isn’t worried about Patricio and Miguel. Macario tells him he should be wary of Patricio and Miguel because they’re capable of anything, even killing Gonzalo. Patricio and Miguel have drinks and are confident that things will go their way. Ruben tells Bianca that she has three seconds to tell him the name of her boyfriend, but she tells him that she won’t, no matter how much he beats her. Amalia and Rocio listen at the door as Bianca stands up for herself.
Ruben tells her that she’s not going to marry anyone because he’s going to beat her until her face is no longer attractive, but she continues to stand up to him. He raises his hand to hit her, but stops himself, saying that he doesn’t have to hit her because tomorrow after the will is read, he’s sending her to a convent. Claudio continues to worry and German tries to calm him down. The detective thinks Victoria could possibly have had something to do with the death of Diego’s brother since she’s known the Monteros for a long time, but Diego tries to make him see that he’s way off base with his suspicions about Victoria. Santos tells Gonzalo that Alex is back and Gonzalo tells Macario that the first thing he’ll do once he takes control over his father’s fortune tomorrow is start divorce proceedings against Gladys. Gonzalo assures Macario that Carolina isn’t Alex’s sister.
Carolina refuses to believe a word of what Victoria says, thinking her capable of letting her marry her own brother. Alex tells Gonzalo to leave because he doesn’t want to talk to him. He says that tomorrow he plans to leave the ranch forever. Gonzalo won’t leave the room and tells him that Victoria tricked them all and Carolina is not his daughter. Alex doesn’t believe him, saying that Carolina is out of his life forever and he won’t be tricked into marrying his own sister. Victoria tries to make Carolina believe her, but Carolina won’t and tells her that she hates her. Victoria cries as Carolina says that she never wants to see her again and leaves. Alex refuses to believe Gonzalo, but Gonzalo tells him that Victoria lost her baby and begs him to wait until tomorrow because he’ll then be able to prove to him that Carolina isn’t his sister. Alex wants to know how he’ll do that and Gonzalo tells him that they’re going to talk to Victoria together and make her tell the truth.
Victoria tells Maria what happened. Diego arrives and Victoria tells him what happened, too. Florencia and Constanza arrive at Florencia’s apartment and they talk about what might be in the will. Alex wants answers from Gonzalo. Gladys walks in and she sticks to the lie--that Alex and Carolina are sisters. Gonzalo tells them that Lucrecia told him that it wasn’t true. Alex agrees to wait until tomorrow and see what happens. Diego tells Victoria that he’s going to talk to Carolina for her. Victoria tells Maria that she needs to go to the city and asks if Edelmiro will take her. Amalia tells Claudio and German what she heard outside of Bianca’s door. Claudio is upset and Diego walks in. He asks Amalia where Carolina is and Amalia learns that Carolina’s just found out that Victoria isn’t her real mother. Carolina arrives at Amalia’s crying and thinking about Victoria’s confession. She wonders who her real mother is as Florencia is anxious to learn what’s in her father’s will. She and Constanza talk and Florencia feels that soon she’ll find her daughter.
Florencia answers the front door and finds Victoria on her doorstep. Victoria tells her to look at her and asks if she reminds her of someone. She confesses that she’s Luisa Dominguez. Florencia is shocked as she tells her that Carolina is her daughter. They’re both in tears as Victoria tells her that she’s the same person who Gonzalo raped and left pregnant, whose grandmother was burned alive and who Florencia gave her baby to. Amalia and Diego find Carolina and Diego asks that Amalia leave him alone with Carolina. She tells him that she doesn’t want to talk about Victoria. Diego tells her that she needs to know the real reasons why her mother did what she did, but Carolina tells him that Victoria isn’t her mother and she knows that everything she’s done she did only to get her revenge against the Monteros.
Victoria tells Florencia that Carolina is her daughter as Florencia thinks back to the day when she handed Victoria her baby. Florencia begins to hyperventilate and faints. Carolina is still angry and upset and becomes hysterical. Diego slaps her to calm her down and then holds her as she cries. Victoria tells an unconscious Florencia how sorry she is and how hopes she doesn’t lose all of Carolina’s love. Carolina has calmed down considerable, but still doesn’t want to talk about Victoria. Diego tries to convince her that Victoria loves her, reminding her how Victoria gave her all she had and raised her. Florencia and Victoria are still crying and blame each other for what happened--Victoria blames her for abandoning her daughter and going years without coming to look for her and Florencia accuses her of stealing her child event though she left Mariana/Carolina with her for years without coming to see her. Florencia slaps Victoria.
