Diego tells Lucrecia that their marriage is over and she doesn’t want to believe him. She tells him that the only way she’ll give him a divorce is if he swears he won’t marry Victoria. He tells her that she’s being ridiculous because she knows marrying Victoria is exactly what he wants to do because she’s the love of his life. Victoria tells the detective that she’s going to tell him everything about her past even if it means she’ll go to prison. He thinks she’s admitting that she had something to do with the death of Diego’s brother. She sets him straight, telling him that she didn’t live here and didn’t even know Diego when his brother died. She also tells him that Diego didn’t kill his brother but he’s still suspicious.
Diego tells Lucrecia that she’s crazy and plans to marry Victoria once they divorce. She refuses to give him a divorce if he’s only going to turn around and marry Victoria. Diego tells her that he’ll get his divorce from her even if she doesn’t want it and she tells him that she doesn’t care what he does. She tells him that she can accept the fact that he doesn’t want her and if he leaves her for someone else, but not for Victoria. She tells him that she hates Victoria and that one of them will have to die because the world isn’t big enough for the two of them. Diego looks at her in horror. Victoria answers all of the detectives questions about Diego, Gonzalo, and Don G. Gonzalo tells Gladys that he’s going to inherit everything, but Gladys doesn’t think so, telling him that he should get on Alex’s good side because she’s sure Alex will inherit everything. Gonzalo tells her that Alex will inherit everything--the day Gonzalo dies and leaves him his fortune. He also reminds her of his intent to divorce her.
Victoria tells the detective about Florencia and Mariana/Carolina. Don Chema is ready for the reading of the will and says that there is a surprise that Don G left in his will. Patricio wakes Miguel up and tells him what day it is and they’re both excited for the reading of the will. Alex tells Gonzalo to accompany him to Diego’s ranch to speak with Victoria because he wants to know the truth about him and Carolina. Carolina tells Amalia about what happened with Victoria and Florencia. Carolina tells her that even though she and Alex aren’t siblings, they’re still cousins and can’t be together. Diego tells Claudio and German how crazy Lucrecia is and how he’s worried she’ll do something equally crazy. Alex and Gonzalo arrive and announce that they aren’t leaving until they speak with Victoria and get the truth out of her. Victoria and the detective continue to talk. He tells her that he’s an officer of the law and has to inform on her for kidnapping and she could go to prison.
Constanza and Florencia talk about Florencia’s reunion with Carolina. Florencia wants to introduce everyone to her daughter and Constanza plans to speak with Lucrecia later. Florencia says that she isn’t going to go to the police and inform on Victoria and they both admit that they feel bad for her. Florencia says that she knows that even though Carolina is upset, she still loves Victoria and will forgive her. She says that she knows that for the rest of her life, she’ll have to share Carolina with Victoria. The detective continues to question Victoria. Diego tells Alex that Carolina is Florencia’s daughter. Carolina and Amalia plan to go and find Claudio to tell him Amalia’s plan to keep Bianca from being sent to a convent. Ruben threatens Bianca again with the convent and Gerardo tells him that if their mother can’t save her, he’ll save his sister himself. Gladys messes with Ruben, picking at him because his wife and children don’t want him and Constanza is going to get a divorce from him. They both admit to marrying into the Montero family because they wanted money. Gladys tells Ruben that her situation is different because she fell in love with Gonzalo and Ruben agrees, saying that he never felt anything for his wife.
Florencia goes to look for Carolina and Constanza plans to get in touch with Lucrecia because the three of them need to talk. Lucrecia plans to kill Victoria if she keeps trying to take Diego from her. She gets a phone call from Constanza who tells her that she and Florencia need to talk to her and Florencia knows that Carolina is her daughter. Florencia finds Carolina who tells her, “Good morning, Mama.” They smile at each other. When Diego tells Alex that Carolina is Florencia’s daughter, Alex realizes that they still can’t be together because their first cousins. Diego tells him that they aren’t cousins either and reveals that Gonzalo isn’t Alex’s father. Neither of them take this news well. Alex is angry because Diego accused his mother of such a thing and thinks that Diego is just trying to make them suffer the same way Victoria made them suffer by making them believe that Alex and Carolina were brother and sister. Their argument almost gets physical as Gladys prays that no one discovers her secret.
Renato has breakfast with Christa and Martina and tells Christa that Victoria doesn’t have money for a lawyer and doesn’t think she can do anything to take her estate back. He also tells her that Victoria will surely come back and try her best to get her property back and he plans to give her part of it--in exchange for becoming his lawyer. Christa is upset that he wants Victoria in his bed. In fact, she looks close to tears as he tells her that he’s sure Victoria will be great in bed. Victoria is still talking to the detective, trying to make him see that neither her nor Diego had anything to do with his brother’s death. Alex refuses to listen to Diego talking bad about his mother and Gonzalo refuses to believe that Gladys cheated on him. They leave and Diego tells German and Claudio that Alex will suffer greatly when he finds out what kind of woman his mother really is.
Florencia tells Carolina that she wants to present her to the rest of her family as her daughter, but Carolina doesn’t want to be around any of the Monteros. Florencia thinks there might have been something left for Carolina in the will, but Carolina doesn’t want to go and doesn’t want to be presented as her daughter just yet. Florencia asks her how much she loves Victoria as the detective tells Victoria that he has to inform on her about stealing Mariana/Carolina, but says that he’ll need Florencia to press charges because without her, the police can’t do anything. He says that she might not go to prison but Victoria is sure that Florencia will press charges. Florencia tells Carolina that she understands that she still loves Victoria. Carolina isn’t sure how she feels about anything but admits that she feels bad for Victoria and can’t forget all the good times they shared as mother and daughter. They talk about the impossibility of Carolina and Alex being together.
Alex and Gonzalo argue and Alex accuses him of being at fault for some of the things that have happened and tells him that their relationship will never be the same. Florencia tells Carolina that she has to forget Alex and Carolina says that it’s best that she never sees Alex again. They plan to meet up later at Florencia’s apartment so that they can keep talking. Florencia has to leave to meet with her sisters. Carolina talks to Amalia about her feelings for Florencia and Victoria as they head to Los Encinos. They hope that Amalia’s plan to help Bianca and Claudio works. Claudio worries about Bianca and talks to Diego. Gerardo argues with Ruben who wants him to fight for the inheritance. Ruben tells Gerardo that if Constanza inherits money, he’ll be in control of it because he’s her husband, but Gerardo tells him that they’re getting a divorce and he won’t have control over any of it.
Constanza tells Bianca that she’ll never let her be shipped off to a convent. She also reveals to Bianca that Carolina is Florencia’s daughter. Before she leaves, Victoria asks the detective who she can talk to about a fraud. She tells him that Renato forged her signature and took everything she had. Christa is upset that Renato wants Victoria but he doesn’t care. He tells her that he wants to know what Victoria’s like in bed and plans to give her a piece of her estate in return for joining him in bed. He tells Martina not to worry because he hadn’t forgotten about her. He tells her that he’ll have sex with her once she’s been properly trained and says that Christa is to teach her all the things he likes to do in bed. The detective is very interested in what’s happened between Victoria and Renato. When she leaves, he wonders where he heard that name before. He asks one of his associates who reminds him that Renato is the guy that France is looking for because he ran some sort of prostitution ring that regularly pimped young girls who were minors. The detective says that he’s going to kill two or three birds with one stone.
Christa is near tears and tells Renato that Victoria is living with Diego because they’re still in love. Renato is sure that it’s not love--Diego wanted Victoria because she had money, and married Lucrecia to get his hands on the Montero fortune. Christa informs Renato that Isabela is still sleeping and doesn’t want to lose her baby. Renato tells her that Isabela will do what he tells her to do and that her baby will never be born. Claudio is still worried about Bianca and Diego is worried about his situation with Lucrecia. Florencia and Constanza meet with Lucrecia and Florencia wants to know why she didn’t want her to find her daughter. She doesn’t want to say and Constanza volunteers to say it for her. She tells them that she’s figured out that the reason why she didn’t want Florencia to find out is because she blackmailed Diego into marrying her by threatening to tell about Carolina’s true paternity. Florencia is outraged that her own sister would do such a thing and confronts Lucrecia. Victoria arrives back at Diego’s ranch just as Christa arrives. Victoria tells her that they have nothing to talk about and orders her to leave. Christa asks, “No quieres hablar conmigo aunque te ofrezco ayuda para que recuperes algo de lo que Renato te robo?”
