Isabela tells Carolina and Victoria that Patricio, and not Alejandro, is the father of the baby she is expecting. Victoria wants to know from Isabela how she could lie to Alejandro like that. Carolina cant believe that Isabela would get herself pregnant by Patricio just to trap Alejandro into marriage. Isabela says that she understands that they must think the worst of her, but getting pregnant was had not been in the plan. Victoria asks what plan Isabela is referring to. Carolina guesses that it was a plan to get the inheritance. Isabela tells them that it was Renato who was behind that plan and it had not been her idea. Isabela had not been able to refuse going along with it, because Renato had cruelly threated her by telling her that she could wind up worse than dead. Isabela tells them that she cant say any more until after they help her get far away from Renato. Victoria tells Isabela that she has no money to help her because Renato had stolen it from her. Carolina suggests that maybe Alejandro would be able to help her. Isabela said that she could not talk to him, she was too ashamed and was fearful. Victoria tells Isabela that she must talk to Alejandro and also tell him that the baby was not his. Isabela says that Alejandro was going to kill her when he found out. Victoria tells her that Alejandro is very different from Renato and Gonzalo. He would be angry but would not harm her. Carolina asks Isabela what she feels toward Alejandro. Isabela says that she has no feelings for him, she never loved him. She had been in love with Patricio, but he wanted nothing to do with her or his child. Victoria tells Isabela that she would ask Diego for help. She did not want to see Isabela go though what she had, losing her own child by physical battery. Carolina tells Isabela to take care of her baby and that she could forgive her everything if he told Alejandro the truth.
Miguel begins to panic in front of Patricio after he is told that Patricio may not need him after all to get the Montero fortune. Patricio laughs and calms down Miguel by assuring him that it had only been a joke. He had only been kidding about the possibility of marrying Carolina. How could he seriously think that Carolina, a one-man woman, could fall for Patricio and marry him ? Carolina could only love Alejandro, even if Alejandro were to die. Miguel tells Patricio that jokes like that are not appreciated. He should never play around like that, it made him nervous. He does ask Patricio what he seriously is thinking of doing. Patricio tells him that Carolina needs to disappear. They could kidnap her and ask for an outrageous amount of money to then disappear themselves with it. Miguel wants to know if they could pull that off without needing to kill Carolina. Patricio says that it would all depend on how Carolina behaved, if she were to recognize them, it would mean her sure death. Patricio figures that it would be best to take Carolina before she married Alejandro. Miguel says that they need to find out where the wedding is to take place. Patricio tells Miguel to cheer up, there will not be a wedding and he doubts very much that Alejandro will be alive after Carolina's kidnapping. He was planning on having Alejandro killed. They could blame Carolina's kidnappers with his murder and nobody would ever find out that it was Miguel and Patricio behind the crime. Miguel asks who would take care of doing that, since they could no longer rely on Macario. Patricio angrily tells Miguel not to mention Macario's name, he has not forgotten that he killed his father. Patricio tells Miguel that they would take care of Alejandro's murder themselves and go after Macario too.
Florencia and Constanza tell Lucrecia that she will like the clinic where she will be staying for a while. She would be able to rest there because she has gone through some rough days lately. After figuring out that they are talking about a psychiatric clinic, Lucrecia tells them that she is not crazy, she was only protecting and fighting for what was hers, Diego. She was not going to have her husband stolen from her. And was never going to allow them to put her away in a clinic. Constanza reminds her that she attempted to murder Victoria. Lucrecia says that Victoria deserved it and she would do it again if she were to see her. Constanza tells Lucrecia that both she and Florencia would accompany her to the clinic so she wont feel so alone and they were going to tell the doctor that Lucrecia was not crazy...just a bit nervous. Lucrecia smiles. She assures them that she is not going and they could not convince her to go. The only way that she could stop from being so nervous is if Victoria dies. She demands to know if Diego would be capable of locking her away in a clinic.
Gonzalo asks Macario if he could help him to get rid of Carolina. Macario responds by saying that maybe he could, but he would need money and this time he wanted to be paid ahead of time. Gonzalo tells him that he does not have any liquid assets. Macario tells him to think, he was sure that Gonzalo could figure out something. There is a knock on the door, Macario goes to open it and sees Alejandro. The two glare at each other, but Macario leaves. Alejandro wants to speak with Gonzalo. Gonzalo looks at Alejandro with new eyes, he only sees him as the son of Renato and Gladys, the lying tramp. Alejandro tells Gonzalo that he wants him to know that he only has one father, Gonzalo. Gonzalo puts on a fake smile and realizes that he could use Alejandro to get the money to pay Macario. He thanks Alejandro for still wanting to be his son. He tells Alejandro that while he may never be able to forgive Gladys, that at least he was grateful that she made him believe that he had the most wonderful son of all. Alejandro hugs Gonzalo. Gonzalo tells Alejandro that had wanted to take a trip to get away from things for a long while. But since Don G had left him with nothing, there wasnt much he could do about it. Alejandro tells him not to worry, he would give him the money. Alejandro reminds Gonzalo that while he may not have the fortune, his grandfather had left him a nice amount of money. Gonzalo feels angry about that, Don G left Alejandro with something, but left him with nothing at all.
Alejandro also takes the opportunity to tell Gonzalo that he wants to have him present for his wedding to Carolina. He wants to share that most important day of his life with him. Gonzalo sighs and tells Alejandro that his real dad, Renato, should be the one at the wedding. Alejandro tells him that he would never accept Renato at his wedding. If Gonzalo did not want to be present, Alejandro would go alone. He would not have Gladys there either. Gonzalo tells him that he will consider going, but there would still be a problem that Victoria might be present at the wedding. Alejandro doubts that Carolina has forgiven Victoria and that it will be Florencia who attends the wedding. Gonzalo tells him that Victoria will find a way to be there just to bother him, because she hates him. Alejandro tells him that he understands why Victoria hates Gonzalo, she has every reason to. Alejandro tells Gonzalo that it is the one thing he holds against him, what he did to Victoria. Gonzalo angrily tells him that she already took revenge on him. She toyed with his feelings, had him fall in love with her, when in reality she only wanted to be with Diego Ibarra. Alejandro tells Gonzalo that he does not want to get in the middle of things with Gonzalo and Victoria, he just wanted Gonzalo at his wedding. But he says that if he does not want to be there then, fine, he can see now that Gonzalo does not care about him as he had said he did. Gonzalo tells him that while he may have loved him very much at one time, now he detests him because he is Renato's son and because now he would be keeping the inheritance that was supposed to be his. Alejandro says to Gonzalo "I cant believe what I’m hearing, father". Gonzalo yells at him not to call him father, he was not his father. Hurt by this, Alejandro yells back to him that he has looked at Gonzalo as his father all of his life, has loved him as his father and still loves him like that. He cant change that. Gonzalo tells him to accept reality, he was not his son and now that he knows that, the love he once felt for him has turned into disdain.
Florencia comes into the room wanting to know what is going on. She heard them shouting. Alejandro tells her that some things change, he sees that for some people, feelings were of no value. Only money and family lineage were of any importance. He tells Gonzalo that he is leaving because he does not want to offend him. Florencia asks Gonzalo what is going on. He tells her that the imbecile, who he had thought was his son, was an ingrate. Florencia tells him that Alejandro is not to blame for Gladys' mistakes. Gonzalo tells him that for him, Alejandro is to blame. Florencia sighs and tells him that she was only there to let him know that Lucrecia was to be put into a psychiatric clinic because she had shot Victoria. Gonzalo gets really angry at the news and blames Victoria for what is happening to Lucrecia. He says that Victoria will pay for what she did to him and to Lucrecia.
Diego goes talk to Lucrecia in her bedroom. He had just spoken to her sisters. He gently tells her that it is important for her to go get medical help for her own good. While she may not be crazy, she does need help. As time goes by, she does wilder things. He refers to her by a new pet name, Flaca (Skinny). He gives her a choice, she can go to the clinic or go to jail, because she attempted to murder another human being. She told him that she did not care if she had to go to jail, but she did not want to go to a looney bin. Diego tells her that he does not like seeing her like that, she could go to the clinic to get cured and afterwards, she could be happy. He knows that she just wants to find the happiness that her own father had denied her for all these years. He tells her to think about it, she deserved to be happy but she needed to fight for it. She looks into Diego's eyes and tells him that she does want to be happy, she wants him to help her. She asks if she goes to the clinic would he give her another chance? Would he wait until she came out, without divorcing her? He does not answer her right away. He then tells her that once she gets out of the clinic, she will see things very differently and realize that she is not in love with him. She deserves someone better than him, someone who truly would love her and would take care of her. That man could not be him. She insists that she loves only him, she is not looking for or wants anyone else. He tells her that she is just very confused. Once she is cured, she will find the love of her life. Lucrecia begins to cry and asks Diego what will become of her? He holds her and promises her that everything will be all right.
Renato compliments Christa after having sex with her. He tells her that he hopes she showed Martina some of her talents. Christa, jealous of Martina, asks Renato why he wants to sleep with Martina. She tells him that he had always had good taste in women and that Martina was horrible. Just because Martina had helped him acquire all of Victoria's money, it did not mean anything. She herself had done very much for him too. He begins to anger towards her and tells her that she had failed him many times. She was supposed to make sure that Isabela married Alejandro, and that did not happen. Christa said it was not her fault that stupid Isabela was not able to trap Alejandro. Isabela was the one who did not follow Renato's orders. She insists that she has helped Renato all along. She took care of Don G like he had asked, when he had the heart attack. Renato yells at her that Don G had was still alive afterwards and that if he had indeed died that very day, Alejandro and Isabela would have gotten married and nobody would have found out that Alejandro was Renato's son. Christa tells him that it was not her fault and it was also not responsible that Isabela fell for Patricio. Renato tells Christa that she should have forseen all of that. She did not meet with her objective, end of story. She failed him and soon she would see how she was to pay for all of her mistakes.
Amalia approaches the Montero house in the company of two nuns. She directs them to inside after Macario stops her outside to talk. She asks him what he wants, she is busy. She needs to show the nuns to Bianca's room by Ruben's orders. Macario tells her that he loves her and needs her. He wants to get back together with her now that he will have some money. He tells her that he will be able to buy the things she wants. Unmoved, Amalia tell him that the only thing she wants is love, something he cant give her and could not give her when he had a chance. Now she wants nothing from him. She tells him that now she has German, who loves her and she loves him. He tells her not to mention German, Amalia belongs only to him and nobody else. Amalia tells him that he is wrong, he lost his opportunity with her. Macario warns her that she is his, like it or not.
Rocio shows the two nuns to Bianca's room. She unlocks the door and shows them in. Bianca immediately turns her back on them, goes to sit on her bed and tells them that she does not want to even see them. She assures them that she will never go to a convent. The tall nun goes to sit next to her and kisses her on the mouth. Bianca is startled and taken by surprise. It is Claudio dressed up as a nun !!! He smiles at her and Bianca begins to laugh at his disguise. She looks to see that Flora is the other nun.
Diego and Lucrecia are in the doctor's office. Diego tells him to take good care of Lucrecia. The doctor assures him that she will have the best care. Diego promises Lucrecia that he will visit her. The nurse comes in to take Lucrecia. Lucrecia panics and tells Diego that she does not want to be separated from him and that they want to kill her. She pleads with Diego to take her with him and tries to convince him that if he does that, she will give him a divorce so he can be with Victoria. He tells her that the divorce has nothing to do with her being there. She turns to the doctor and tells him that Diego is evil and wants to lock her away to keep all of her money. Diego tells her that she does not have any money, Don G left her without a cent. She has to accept reality in order to be able to return to her home and to realize that she blackmailed him to get him to marry her. She begins to get hysterical and says that it was only because of Victoria, that she deserved to be happy too and insists that she loves Diego. She begins shouting that she will finish with Victoria. She gets dragged away by two orderlies.
Ruben threatens Constanza that if she divorces him, he would take away her kids. Constanza laughs at him, Gerardo is already a legal adult and while Bianca was still a minor, in six days she would also be a legal adult. Ruben tells her that he still has those six days and that Bianca's well-being depended on Constanza. Constanza warns him that he better not lay a finger on Bianca. He yells at her that of course he was going to do it, because he was under the obligation to teach her how to behave like a decent person. Constanza tells him that now, more than ever, she was determined to divorce him. He tells her that she asked for it and heads to Bianca's room, followed closely by Constanza.
Claudio is pleading with Bianca to go with him because he is worried about her. She tells him that she is still a minor and he could get into trouble. Flora agrees, Ruben could accuse him of kidnapping a minor. Claudio is saddened by this. Flora tells them that they must leave before anyone discovered them. Bianca tells Claudio not to worry, in a short time she would be free to be able to see him anytime she wanted. He tells her that those six days of waiting will seem like an eternity to him. He kisses her. At that moment, Ruben comes into the room. He is stopped in his tracks and is speechless. He sees Bianca and a nun kissing each other.
Lucrecia, dressed in a hospital gown, gets put into a padded room. She begins to rant and rave. She wants Diego get her out of there. Lucrecia blames Victoria for what is happening and says that because Victoria was jealous, she was the one who put her there. Victoria hates her. Diego did not want her locked up, but Victoria did it. Diego has no idea what is happening, he must be looking for her. He must be worried for her. She shouts for Diego over and over. She hysterically pounds on the door and claws at the window.
