Daniela jumps into Gabriel's car, she tells him to go after the man who just stole her purse. A surprised Gabriel turns to her, takes off his sunglasses and says that an angel just fell from heaven. Daniela, in no mood to hear this, tells him to go after the man. Gabriel catches up to him and throws a couple of punches, the thief swings the purse at him, knocking Gabriel off balance, he hits himself on a concrete post and winds up out cold on the ground. The thief leaves with Daniela's purse. Gabriel regains consciousness soon after. Frustrated by the kind of day she has been having, Dani tearfully breaks down and tells Gabriel about seeing her fiancee kissing Amparo.
Ricardo goes to see Lucho and tells him that he had been set up by Amparo and Daniela had broken up with him. Lucho tells him that the only thing Ricardo can do now is pray that Dani does not find consolation with another man.
Raquel, looking for Gabriel, does not find him at the radio station or at his lunch meeting. Rita tells her that maybe he is seeing someone else, since he never seems to pay any attention to Raquel anyways.
Gabriel, finding Daniela quite sweet and pretty, flirts with her not understanding why any man would want to cheat on her. Daniela, thinking that Gabriel is trying to take advantage of the situation accuses him of being some rich guy. The kind of man who just plays with women like her and uses them. He assures her that that he is not some rich guy. Daniela points out his very expensive car. He quickly makes up a story about him being a mechanic who is just out test driving the car.
Andres tells Jorge that he does not want to get involved with Manuel's dirty schemes and tells him that his patience is running out. Jorge asks him if he plans on betraying Manuel just like when they were younger. Andres quickly assures him that he would not do that. Jorge tells Andres that it would be a shame if Manuel would force him to create a mortal accident for Andres because he really did find him likeable.
Gabriel drives Dani home. He remembers Andres' advice to him about living out his dreams apart from all that was around him and living a second life with different people and with new experiences. He sees a "For Rent" sign next door and asks Daniela if she thought that it would be rented out to him. He tells her a story about living with a room mate who was soon to be married and Gabriel needing a new place to live.
Daniela introduces Gabriel to Marisela, who is renting the room. Once they leave to see the room, Daniela tells Susana, her mother, about what has happened between her and Ricardo.
Amparo shows up at Marisela's to tell her about what happened, knowing that Marisela would tell everyone the latest gossip. Amparo just wanted her to hear her version of the events. She tells her that she did not steal Ricardo from Dani, Ricardo was a very willing participant and if Dani wanted him back, she would have to fight for him.
Ricardo goes to Daniela's house with flowers wanting to apologize for what had happened. Daniela's mother and her brother, Enrique, tell him to leave. Ricardo tries to reason with them telling him that he is a man and Amparo offered herself to him, he was weak. Would she had preferred that Daniela be his lover before getting married ? Daniela angrily tells him to leave and never come back, she would rip him out of her heart and forget him.
Gabriel agrees to rent the room and quickly goes home to pick up his things. He is met by Raquel who demands to know if he is seeing someone else, he tells her that no, but that the possiblity exists that he could find another woman in his life. He tells her that the relationship they have is based on a physical attraction and not love. Raquel assures him that she really does love him and will not let him go. Gabriel tells her that he himself would go to Angela, his Godmother, and tell him that the relationship between him and Raquel is over. A desperate Raquel tells him that Angela's health is in jeopardy and a blow like that would surely kill her.
Aristeo wants to get rid of Rosalinda, he finds her too much competition for his father's affection.
Angela goes to get money from Lucas Malpica to pay off some debts. He tells her that her finances dont look good. She hopes that soon she will not have to depend on Manuel's money and will be able to get her hands on Gabriel's money. Malpica tells her that Andres is keeping a close eye on Gabriel's money and does not want it involved with the Mafia. Angela curses Andres and tells Malpica that if Raquel does not find a way to marry Gabriel, she will be tied to Andres forever.
Charlie and Aristeo discuss women. Charlie tells him that he keeps planning on seeing Rita. Charlie may work for Aristeo's father, but his personal life was his own. Aristeo tells him that women are like disposable tissues, you use them then toss them away. Most women were not worth it. That is, unless he could find one who was like his mother.
Susana encourages a heartbroken Daniela to pick up the pieces and to not let this setback keep her down. She tells her that Ana is there to see her. Daniela wonders if Ana is with her brother, Enrique, and maybe she should leave them alone together for a bit. Susana sighs and tells Daniela that Enrique would never fall for Ana, who is in love with him.
Gabriel arrives at his new house with Raquel's words still going around in his head. He is more determined than ever to set up a new identity for himself, far away from the problems he faces at home.
Lucho arrives at the shop. He is told by Ricardo that Daniela does not want to know anything about him (Ricardo). Lucho tells him to let her cool off and things would be okay in time once things calmed down. Ricardo also tells Lucho a woman was waiting for him in his room. Lucho wonders who it is and goes to his room to find out. It is none other than Angela. She tells Lucho that she missed him and could not forget him. They kiss, fall into bed and he assures her that he is not interested in knowing anything about her, he just wants to enjoy the moment.
Pilar tells Ana and Daniela that Gabriel is moving his things into the rented room. Daniela exitedly tells Ana that she wants her to meet him and they go to see him. Gabriel is moving in his mattress when Daniela literally bumps into him. Falling on the floor, Gabriel lands on top of Daniela on the mattress. They look in each other's eyes, smiling, and caught up in the moment, they surrender into a slow and delicious-looking kiss.
