...if I hadn't already screwed up the IG game AND gotten the weird ability to change the science sliders on the first turn I may not have thought it was a buggy start...
Seriously, I guess in the future we need to mention this sort of thing so we're not surprised. I HAVE gotten starting techs before but I thought you would have mentioned it--espeically since it was Warp II! Oh, well...maybe I'll keep playing on to see if I can snag the Xs.
I think, upon reflection, that the aliens seemed to expand quicker in this game because we were more in the center and I could see them doing it. The last Silicoid game we were more on the edge and their expansion was invisible. I KNOW 'No Ouposts' hurt me, probably a little more than the 'No Migration' since I didn't end up with anywhere to migrate to!
