I agree we need to decouple the generation of a ruleset from the start of the tourney, especially since the core rules in 1.2 and AP are supposed to be similar.
I am wondering ATM how likely it is that we will migrate to AP when it comes out. The main draw is the scenario editor; if that's a "nice to have" rather than crucial to running a tourney, perhaps we shouldn't gate starting the tourney on the availability of the editor, if it means interest flags in the interim?
Are we interested in the possibility of trying to address some of the imbalances in the game with mods? If so, what mods do we want to see? We could create a list of possible mods to pursue along with our tactics list, so that if anyone feels inspired they at least have some ideas about what to look into...
