Sorry about that turkey thing. I misled a bunch of folks with false hopes. The reason I had hope for MOO3 was the number of elements in it that resembled elements from MOO1. They adapted a lot of stuff. Unfortunately, they failed to adapt the two most important elements: the fun and the game balance. Blah.
MOO3's sad shell could still be reworked into a fine game if they were willing to discard a couple of their sacred cows in favor of mechanisms that would WORK, and if they fixed what was broken. Ain't a chance in Hell of that ever happening, though, so best to put a bullet into the head of any such wishful thinking and move on with our lives.
